Naked.... Again?!

After many weeks of thinking whether i should get it or not, I finally settled :) I sold my original Naked palette! I prefer the Naked 2 over the first one <3

Murale haul + mail!!

Ouch to the wallet? Not really.. Because I exchanged my optimum points at Murale!!! I ended up only paying for the taxes.... Total: 17,82$ :P

I only bought the Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte, the Rouge Coco Shine and the Bobbi Brown corrector. I wanted to get the Nars illuminator too but at the last minute, I told the SA to cancel it and that I would take the Bobbi Brown corrector instead. I went to check myself in the mirror while she was packing my stuff and when I got home, I was so surprised to see the Nars illuminator! I think that she put it in my bag by mistake because I don't see it on my bill! Mystery...

And I received my free BB cream from Marcelle today!!! Yay :D Can't wait to try it out :)

I've been a Urban Decay primer potion user since 2009 and when Sephora had their 20$ gift card promotion last December, I thought I was due for a new eyeshadow primer. I mean, I've been using that infamous primer for 2 years now, which usually should have been thrown after maximum a year after opening. The product started to separate inside the tube and it become greasy.

I wanted to try something new & I didn't like the UD primer potion packaging to I decided to pick the Nars Smudge proof eyeshadow base. It was love at first sight (or application haha =P). The texture feels very light and a little bit goes a long way. It dries down very quickly and you don't feel a silicone effect on your lid and at the touch. You're ready to pack on your eyeshadow & liner!

I like to let it set for at least a minute before putting on my eyeshadow and liner. It holds them really well and doesn't make them crease the whole day or night. The eyeshadow color does look more vibrant too and I also like to use the excess of product on my eyelid (before I applied eyeshadow of course!) to my brows prior filling them in. I noticed that the color that I filled my brows with doesn't fade.

I honestly prefer this primer over the Urban Decay one because it doesn't make my lid greasy. When I was using the UD primer, especially in summer, I would notice that my eyeshadow creased a tiny bit a the end of the day with a slight sheen on my lid, but not with the Nars one.

Overall:
Packaging: 5/5 I have nothing to complain about :)
Product: 5/5 Works amazingly for me!
Price: 29$CAN
Would I repurchase? Yes! =) I don't mind splurging on a eyeshadow base since it's a necessity for me and it last a long time!

Now let's move on to the main topic =P
At the end of December, Imomoko was offering a 15% off certain brands. I needed a new night skincare routine and I've always wanted to try some products from the Naruko line, which was part of the promotion. My order arrived exactly 6 business days later. I like!

H&M finds : In quest of the perfect blazer!

Hi guys!
So as you may know, being petite can be quite a complex sometimes.. Remember my last post about my finds at H&M? And the blazer that was way too wide on me? Well I returned it and didn't gave up at finding a nice blazer for my size. And by the way.. Thank you for all of you ladies for your honest opinion & suggestions!

I still had my 5$ off gift card and didn't spent it on the cardigan after all... I decided to wait a little bit, hoping that their spring collection would come out before the expiry date on the gift card.

And I'm glad I did =)
I went shopping with my mama last Sunday, even though it was a freezing -27 degrees outside.

Look what I found!!!!!

Some ladies suggested me to opt for a cropped blazer since I'm petite. I've been seeing a lot of boyfriend blazers, but cropped blazers were rare. So imagine my excitement when I saw these! I love how simple & clean the #1 blazer look, but I found it a bit too dressy for a casual wear. I really liked the fabric of this one too since it feels a lot more sturdy. It strays away from your classic button blazer but still very chic. The back of it is shorter than the front, which I didn't like much. Of course when you're shopping with mama, she always have a word to say :) I asked for her opinion and she said that the style is nice but a bit too mature and not for casual wear. What do you think?

I've seen blazer #2 on my last visit, but there was no more size 2 left. This time, at another H&M, there was only 1 left!! I like the length of it and the pink lining inside =) This one is more casual but not plain simple. I really like the back of it (I will post more pictures soon) and the little detail on the fake pockets. My mom approved this item and thought it looked cute on me. I asked her if the shoulders were too wide and she said that it was ok and that I was too picky! LOL Mom, it's called having high expectations & buying the right stuff ;) I purchased this one but I still have a little doubt in my mind about the shoulders.. May I have your opinions?

Both retail for 39,95$CND.

Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Lashes mascara review

When Sephora had their annual VIB 20% off sale, I wanted to grab stuff that I know that I would actually use and not *collect* hahaha. There's 4 things that I use on a daily basis : my skincare products, eyeliner, Shu Uemera eyelash curler and mascara. Over the time, I learned to finish a product before buying another one that I definitely didn't want to purchase more skincare products, my eyelash curler still works wonders and I just got a back up of my favorite eyeliner so I guess I had to pick up a new mascara!

I was searching for a more volumizing mascara, since the Imju Fiberwig that I got only seems to lengthen and separate. I have pretty long lashes but they are so thin and sparse! I wanted a little more oomph for lashes and a friend recommenced me the Lancome Hypnose volumizing mascara. I took a look and I spotted the new one which is Hypnose doll lashes!

After I read that I was like "oh yeaahh?", threw it in the basket grabbed something else and quickly walked toward the cash before I throw more unnecessary products in my basket. I have a bad habit: I like to open my new products to test them out before finishing the other one (that's why I force myself to finish something up before buying a new one.)

At first, the formula looked on the wet side, there weren't much product on the brush and It would just separate my lashes and lengthen them a bit. BUT sometimes... First impressions are false! As I kept using it, I guess the formula kind of dried a little and I really like the effect of it! It holds my curls surprisingly well (for a non waterproof mascara) and doesn't weight them down. It does thicken a little bit, but doesn't give as much volume as the original hypnose one. It also gives a really pretty fanned out effect, which might be the "doll" look, thus the name "doll lashes". It doesn't clump at all on me, flake or smudge. Every lash is perfectly defined, thanks to the cone shape brush! It literally grabs every single lashes, even the ones in the outer corner!

I really like the packaging, I find it very cute & feminine but the price is stopping me from getting a backup. Is it worth 31$CAN? Absolutely not. I honestly think that you can find much better or equally better for less. It's just a question of knowing where, what & when. Overall, it is easy to remove.

Would I repurchase? Noooooooooo... Too expensive for a mascara.

Empties of december 2011 + stuff I regret purchasing in 2011

Hellooo ladies & gent!
Yay another post! :) It's been a while since I blogged about my monthly empties and I noticed that I've threw a lot of empty bottle for the month of November & December, but never snapped a picture of it to keep track and actually post about it. Blame it on the finals! =P However, there were a few empty that didn't make it to the garbage can. I decided to clean up my skincare stash too so here's some products that I regret purchasing.

Let's start with the finished product:

Clean & Clear blackhead eraser cleansing mask, Clarins Toning Lotion & Biore mild facial foaming wash. Not picutured: Clean & clear eye makeup remover, Philosophy purity made simple cleanser, Neutrogena anti-residue shampoo.

Things I regret purchasing this year

Pond's cleansing towel : I got this as a sample when I bought Q-TIPS and I had a huge rash all over my face afterwards. I've never had a rash on my face before it was really red >.<

Tony Moly eggpore blackhead oil out: This was a really impulse buy and it doesn't work. It didn't do anything for my skin.... It was like rubbing gel with plastic beads on my face.

Skyn Iceland Nordic skin peel: Totally not worth the price. I didn't use it that often and it expires after 6 months.. I had it since last summer and it's still half full.. Fail.

Juju Aquamoist cleanser : OMG!! This cleanser made my face so oily!! I just didn't understand! It seems to work fine at cleansing but after a few hours, I looked worse than a disco ball! My skin was never THAT oily and was so shocked because it's not like it's a moisturizer.. I think that it didn't suit the dry and cold weather, but it's more for a humid/tropical weather. I read a lot of good reviews on it and it's such a shame that it turned out to be horrible for me.

Juju Aquamoist milky toner: I read super good reviews for this product too but it just doesn't seem to absorb into my skin, no matter how thin the layer was.

I'm giving these away since I barely used them, everything is clean & spotless. I'll also add the toner which has never been opened & is still sealed in the plastic. So the first person to comment with their email and stating that they would like to have these products will be the lucky one!

& Since I'm a sucker for packaging, I couldn't resist to recycle the egg shape container & putted my daily makeup products in there =P

Let's shop! H&M finds

It's so hard for me to find a blazer that fits me well since I'm so petite and I was super happy when I found this one! I've been wanting a beige blazer and this one is in size 2. BUT... Back at home, I retried it again and the shoulders seems a little too big... What do you guys think? Should I keep it or return it?

This simple cardigan catched my eyes too but I had to decide to pick either the blazer or cardigan xD So back to it place it went!

And I'm glad I did because the cashier gave me a 5$ gift card valid from January 9th to the 22nd when I paid for my blazer! I guess that there was a promotion going on... So I'll go back for the cardigan or make a exchange?! :)

Please help me decide if I should keep the blazer or not! It fits snug at the waist but seems a little bit too wide on the shoulder!!! Thank you :)

Happy New Year 2012!

Hello everyone!!
First of all, I want to wish all of you a very happy new year! I hope that you guys spent a wonderful holiday and have been able to spend some time with your loved ones and get plenty of rest and food!

I'm so happy to be on vacations now, but yet excited to start school again because... It's going to be my last semester in Cegep! I'm finally going to university in Septembre woot woot and I can't wait because I start to feel very very old in that place. For those of you who don't live in Quebec and don't know what Cegep is.. Well it's like a transition between high school and university. You HAVE to go by Cegep in order to get into university and usually it's a 2 year program or 3 year if you go into a career program. I think that we have such a complicated education system! Elementary school is from grade 1 to grade 6. Then, you get into high school and you fall into secondary 1 (grade 7), secondary 2 (grade 8) and bla bla bla until secondary 5 (grade 11) and then you graduate and you get into Cegep. You can choose your program like social science, health science, pure and applied science and many more options. After your Cegep is done and that you received your diploma, you can get into university!! Because I switched program, I've been there for 4 years now and I'm starting to get a little bit annoyed.. I'm part of the oldest student in each of my class and it feels awkward when people think that you're 18 or 19 but in reality.. You're 21 and they are so shocked hahaha.

ANYWAYS, all that to say that I can't wait to get into university!

2011 wasn't horrible for me, but I guess it doesn't hurt if 2012 gets better. I didn't blogged a lot (sorry!) since I wanted to focus a lot more on my studies since I changed program. My R score was horrible and I had to work hard to get that thing up for university.
I had to cut into several sphere in order to get that done :
-I found a new job last summer and I only work 14 - 16 hours per week during school year, comparing to ~20 hours per week before. I'm happy to say that I love my current job.
- Balancing boyfriend/family/friends wasn't that hard because my new job's schedule is wonderful. We close at 4pm on Saturday and it's closed on Sunday :D My boyfriend got a full-time job so I guess that was the hardest part because we had to see when we both have off so we can spend some time together. So basically, we would see each other only once a week and if we're lucky 2. :( Hopefully facetime exists LOL!

I never wrote down my resolutions for new year because I know I would never fulfill them anyways haha but it's never too late to start right? :) So here it is!

Drink more water, less coffee.
Save more, spend less. I've been able to restrain my spendings in 2011 so I hope I will be able to continue!
Keep my grades up.
Blog more and make videos!
Get accepted in the program that I want in university! (It's more of a wish.. =p)

I don't want to make too much resolution so I can fulfill them all =)

WONG FU FOR LYFEEEEE!! Wong Fu came to Montreal and I went to see them! I was so freaking excited haha Sadly, Ted couldn't come so I only sawy Phil and Wes. I'll be posting the pictures soon hehe.
Toronto trip during summer. Even though it was only for 2 days, I had a lot of fun! Definitely looking forward for this summer. We're already preparing for another short trip =D
Met some wonderful bloggers! <3

Hello beauties!

Wow time flew by so quickly, we're already in mid-august! I can't believe that I'll be starting school next monday!

Since I didn't write a post on my finished products of June (which I didn't have haha), here I am with the empties of the month of July!

Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream

I loved using this product! It really lives up to it's claim : soothing. It's intended for babies for it doesn't mean we can use it right? =P Since it's for babies, I told myself that maybe it's way more gentle. It's a very thick cream but easy to spread. It doesn't leave a greasy residue and takes some times to absorb but once it sinks it, your skin is truly baby soft! The moisturizing abilities surprised me so it's a winner for me! I'll repurchase this in winter for sure because I find it a bit too much for summer. I use it on my legs before going to bed :)

Aveeno Eczema Care Body Wash

I found this body was way too heavy for my skin. I think it would be suitable for people who have very dry skin all over their body. While using this, I noticed that my eczema on my skin calmed down. Other than that, I wouldn't purchase it again.

Biore Pore Minimizing Refining Exfoliator

I have this product since forever? hahaha I finally managed to finish it. I love the scent but I can only use it once a week because my skin is way too sensitive. My pores do appear smaller and my skin is left perfectly smooth! If I use it more than once a week, patches of eczema will appear.

Fruits & Passion foaming exfoliator

I bought this when I was working there and it didn't impress me. It's like a gel type with what it seems liek sand to me lol. I hated the scent and I didn't find that it did much at exfoliating my foot. Plus, it's wasn't foamy!

Current HG, super moisturizing, not waxy & cheap! Enough said =P

Satin Care sensitive skin shave gel

I've been using this for the longest time! Actually, I think it's the only one I use because it's gentle enough for my eczema prone dry skin legs. It doesn't make my skin itchy or anything =) I'm too chicken to use another one that is not targeted toward sensitive skin, I have enough eczema scar on my leg!

That's pretty much it! For some reason, I can't wait to start school again so I can get out of my *lazy* mode. All I did this summer was work, work, work! I am waaaay too tired afterwards and all I do is slacking off haha.

Bobbi Brown's Oil control lotion SPF 15 review

Hello ladies! It's me again :)

Today I will review Bobbi Brown's Oil control lotion SPF 15. I've been searching for a good moisturizer with SPF to cut off some steps in my morning routine. Sun protection became part of my routine for a few months now after realizing how important it is + it's the best prevention to wrinkles and sun spots =P.

There were so many selections but I was searching for something light & fast absorbing. A lot of moisturizers with spf were rather thick and targeted towards more mature skin. After researching and reading a lot of reviews on MUA, I finally settled on Bobbi Brown's Oil control lotion.

What it claims : "Ideal for normal-to-oily and combination skins. Oil Control Lotion SPF 15 is a lightweight, hydrating formula that keeps skin looking smooth and shine-free. Provides a soft matte finish and ensures smooth makeup application." (Source: Bobbibrowncosmetics.com)

This product is a bit hard to describe.. It feels like a very liquidy/runny thick lotion but that absorbs well but might feel a tad heavy if you apply too much. A little bit goes a long way since it spreads really well and my skin doesn't feel dry or tight but moisturized even if it says "oil control" (I have normal skin atm with a slight shiny t-zone). I'm pretty happy with the oil control properties but I have doubts it would actually work for people with super oily skin. It didn't clogged my pores even though there's dimethicone in it. I've had a hard time to find the ingredient list though! It's not marked anywhere the ingredients which I find it weird.. I had to search online, but even there I only had the first ingredients.. Anyways.

I bought this back in May (getting ready for summer hehe) but it was still a bit chilly around here. It worked wonder for the first few days but then I started to develop a red patch on my cheek and my eczema returned. I was pretty sure it's the avobenzone that caused the irritation so I stopped using it and it went back into my drawer. I replaced my moisturizer by Caudalie quenching sorbet targeted toward sensitive skin and it healed a few days later. I used some products with avobenzone before and I would get the same eczema patch each time.

Now that it's a lot more warmer, I restarted to use this and it was pretty good until I had the same reaction again a few days later :( Itchy little bumps appeared so I guess it will end up in my upcoming blogsale :(

Toronto 2 days shopping trip + haul! picture heavy

Hi guys!
How's your summer vacations going? Mine is pretty busy, always working and working or out with the loved ones <3 I was able to (finally) take some mini vacation last weekend and went to Toronto on a shopping 2 days tour. I had a lot of fun but it was waaaay too short!

The departure time was 7h30am and we arrived at Markham mall around 1h30. Honestly there weren't that much thing so we just walked around. At 3h30, we had to back to the bus and headed to Chinatown. They gave us a total of 4hours to shop there but it was way too much for us so the travel guide suggested us to take the electric train to Eaton center, which we did but only got the chance to go to Forever 21 since we had to go back to Chinatown to have dinner.

The next day we headed to T&T supermarket & Pacific mall. I was super excited because I wanted to buy a bunch of asian skincare and cosmetics. They have everything there! I was to surprised that they carried Naruko skincare in Pmall. I don't think they had the whole range thought.. But everything was way too over priced too compared to Sasa.com. Since we bought a lot I was able to haggle with the owner =P

The trip was really awesome and it was the first time I travel without my parents so it felt so good (not in a bad way..) to be on my own! hehe. We're already planning to revisit next year but we won't go shopping, we'll maybe stay in Niagara falls. I already can't wait!

Even though it's been a very short period of time, taking a few days off and getting out of town far away from home and work feels really good.

I've been using this mascara for about 3 months now. I got this in a 500 points-perk kit at Sephora. My previous mascara was due and as I was searching for a new one at Sephora, the SA recommended me Buxom Lashes and I realized on the spot that I had one at home!

I didn't have high expectations for this one because I was so amazed by Kiss Me Heroine long & curl mascara and all the mascara that I bought (Maybelline, Covergirl, Lancome, Dior, L'Oreal, Smashbox...) didn't kept the curl and weighted them down.

The first thing that came to my mind when I started to use it: the brush is humongus! I thought that there was no way it would grab all my lashes but it does! The product itself is not dry, or too wet. There's no apparent smell but when it goes bad, trust me, you'll smell it! I was pretty astonished because it held the curls or my lashes pretty well, seperated them and gave it some volume too! It does what it claims: no clump, no smudge, no flakiness and it is really pigmented! My lashes doesn't feel stiff and removing the mascara is a breeze! No tugging, no lashes that falls out.

I have long but straight lashes that are very sparse too. Curling them with Shu Uemera curler helps a lot but a lot of mascara just weights them down. If you are looking for something that is easy to get your hands on, I would recommend this one. It retails for about 24$ CAN if my memory is correct.

Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Fresh Powder Makeup SPF 10 VS Laneige's Sliding Pact SPF 25

Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Fresh Powder Makeup SPF 10

Whats it claims: " What it is: A natural mineral pigment powder. What it does: Dior Skin Nude blends100% natural mineral pigments with Dior's exclusive, active mineralized water to deliver flawless, glowing skin that actually improves over time. By using advances in mineral makeup technology, this product will take you complexion to a whole new level. What else you need to know: Contains 20% Active Mineralized Water for a fresh finish." Initially, I bought this powder because of Nat's raving about it and I was searching for a light powder to even out my skintone. The fact that it contains active mineralized water made me curious about it too =P. I bought this over 6 months ago I still go back to this! The powder is very fine and provides light coverage, which is enough for me. It gives your skin a semi-matte luminous finish, it looks like your skin glows from within. It blends effortlessly and I feel that my skin is softer too! There's a light frangrance to it but it doesn't irritate my semi-sensitive skin and doesnt' clog my pores!

You can definitely build up the coverage, but I don't think it's supposed to be a heavy duty foundation powder but more a finishing powder. It doesn't creased, caked or make my t-zone shine. YAY! =D It leaves a super natural finish which I love. I apply this powder with Sephora's Profressional Mineral Powder brush #45. The bristles are soft and dense enough to pick up a lot of products.

I lovee the gorgeous yet simple sifter jar (I'm a sucker for packaging ahha). It comes with a plastic lid inside so the water from the powder doesn't evaporate. You can use it to swirl your brush in it too but I prefer using the lid (that's why it's dirty! =P) With the brush that I use, it doesn't make a mess and it's pretty easy to use. I don't use this powder everyday, only when I want a little more "coverage" or when I feel my skin is tired and dull so I can't really tell if my skin actually improved like stated, but I can tell that my skin is softer after applying the powder and feels hydrated. Since the coverage is very sheer, I can't tell if it transfers.

The only thing that I don't like about this product is the fact that it's not travel friendly and I wish it came with a mini puff or brush inside (even if I don't use them, but still, it's pretty convenient sometimes). The price is pretty steep, I paid 48$ CAD for it.

Sliding Pact_EX [Snow Crystal] SPF25/PA+

If my memory is correct, I bought this last summer. I was able to get my hands on this in Montreal's Chinatown :) I wanted something with SPF and easy to travel with so I took a look at this. The product has a very heavy scent, but it's a pleasant scent. It's a compact powder and very travel friendly. There's a sponge and a big mirror included =D

The powder itself is very fine too, even finer than the Dior one! It blends out smoothly without the caking or creasing and no oily face! For the coverage, I would say it ranges from light to medium, since it's very buildable and it's way more pigmented than the Diorskin powder. To my surprise, it does have a excellent adhesivenes. It didn't transfer to my clothe or tissue paper. At the end of the day, it's like I just applied the powder. It has a velvelty finish and it left my skin even smoother than the Diorskin nude mineral powder. It a decent oil control too but if you tend to turn easily into a greaseball, I wouldn't recommend it.

You can also achieve a heavier coverage by applying the powder with a damp sponge. I tried it once and it works really well! It also claims to be waterproof so I tested it out by dropping a few drops of water on the compact (ahaha I know, I took the chance to ruin my powder xD) and ZOMG! The drops of water didn't sank into the powder but actually stayed on it! o_O So fear no more ladies! You can go to the beach with makeup on now! =P

What I don't like about this product is that is causes sensitivity on some days (I think it's because of the heavy fragrance) and the color is way too yellow for me. I got it in #2 and it costed me around 40$CAD.

Notice how Dior's powder is a little bit pinkier than Laneige's sliding pack, which is way too yellow for me

Overall, I really like both products but Diorskin Nude Mineral Powder is still the winner because of the shade and the fact that it didn't irritate my semi-sensitive skin. However, it would be great if it's SPF was as high as Laneige's one.

School is finally over so it's officially summer vacations for me! :) I haven't been able to finish any products in April, thus no post for it! I haven't been able to finish a lots of product like I usually do since I was only finishing the old products that I had and I've been restocking a lot lately. So I guess I'll have to wait another 3 - 4 months before having long post of empties!

St-Ives Green Tea Cleanser

The cleanser smells divine!! It comes out rather liquidy but when mixed with water, it does lather a little. The first time I used it, it left my skin soft and clean but after a few usage, my skin started to feel dry and tight. I used this only 1 - 2 times per week to keep the breakouts at bay and it worked pretty well. It didn't irritate my skin and helped out a little with the redness around my nose. However, it doesn't clean heavy makeup so make sure to use a makeup remover prior using this. Lulu was so kind she sent me this back in December as a birthday gift :) It wasn't available in Canada back then but now it is! :D

Clean & Clear Eye Makeup Remover

This is my 2nd bottle of it. It's my current HG! It's cheap but works wonder for me! It removes my mascara & liner smoothly, without tugging and residues.

&& I also received a few packages!

May 2011 Luxe Box from Loose Button review!

This post is way over due, I know I know! I won't be spoiling anything but at least I will be able to do a little more in-depth review fro the products I received. So here we go!

Luxe Box from Loose Button is the canadian equivalent of Birchbox, where you pay to get 3 - 5 deluxe samples for around 10$/month. At the time that I signed up, you had to get an invite to be able to purchase a box, but since May 21st, it's open to all Canadians! The price also increased to 12$/month with the option to suscribe for 3 months or a year.

I suscribed to the 3 month package. I totally love deluxe sample because I'm able to test it for a period of time and see if it's suitable for me before purchasing the full size. It shipped out on May 9th and I got it the very next day! I thought I would receive it like maybe 2 or 3 days later since it's from Toronto. Rapido presto mucho! I like! :)

The customer service was very helpful too. When I signed up, I gave out my address and I realized after that I spent more time at my bf house so why not get it shipped there? At that time, I couldn't "log in" anywhere so I sent them a email to get the address changed. The person with who I wrote to was super nice! (thank you W.L!)
Since I got it shipped to the bf's house, it was his name that was written on the letter inside the box and I found it funny for some reasons =P

Let's take a look!

I love their simple design and their logo! SO elegant :)

I'm sure that by now, you guys all know what the May Luxe Box contains! =P

So here's my mini review of these products:

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant : Even though it states to be a "daily" exfoliator, I find it a bit drying for me to use it everyday. My skin is normal to dry right now (drastic change in my skin!) and the first time I used it, I could feel my face a bit tight but it left my skin so smootthh and glowing! My products definitely penetrated better afterwards!

China Glaze full size nail polish in Goin' my way : This is my first China Glaze polish! I don't have a similar color in my polish collection so I was happy with what I got :) It's a very nice coppery brown. Perfect for summer toes!

Consonant Body Organic Olive Oil Body Soap : I'm in love with the mini loofah it comes with :) It makes the soap lather! The soap itself is great, it doesn't irritate my eczema prone skin. You'll feel squeaky clean after your shower, perfect for a sweaty day but it might be a bit drying for rough winters. It didn't clogged my pores!

Elizabeth Grant Biocollasis Complex Day Serum : Since I'm in my early 20's, I don't really look into anti-aging serum yet. But I thought I'd still give it a try since my forehead is a bit wrinkly (due to overdrying my skin there when I had acne!) This serum penetrates into the skin in a split second! It's not sticky and provides a decent amount of hydration without clogging my pores :) Since my skin is pretty young, I didn't notice much difference.

Overall, for 10$ a box, I'm pretty happy with what I have. I'm so excited to receive my June luxe box now! I hope there will be some high-end makeup stuff XD

Korres Pomegranate Balancing Moisturizer, Yogurt Cream & Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizer SPF 6 reviews!

"A light-textured cream/gel, which carefully meets the needs of oily and combination skin, regulating the sebum secretion, while hydrating. It also makes an excellent makeup base. What it is formulated WITHOUT: Parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, petro-chemicals, phthalates, GMO , Triclosan" (source: sephora.com) I bought this product back in November 2010, just as the degrees suddenly dropped and my skin was crying out for a little more moisture. I was looking for a day cream that would really moisturize my skin without the shine on my face and sudden reaction (my skin tends to be a little more sensitive during winter.) I was looking for something natural too, that wouldn't use too much weird named chemicals. I was searching for a new day cream so after researching and reading reviews, I chose this product because it was available at my Sephora and about 30$ less than my HG Skyn Iceland pure cloud cream (which I completely emptied the jar lol). The texture is very similar to Skyn Iceland's one but a little bit more watery than jelly. I would describe it as a watery cream/gel LOL. Upon application it "melts" on your skin and it spreads very well. I love the light sweet scent, it's not a candy sweet, it's like a light fruity touch. The downside is that my skin didn't seemed to absorb the cream, especially on my T-zone. But after a while, it eventually sinks in. It didn't felt heavy and it moisturized decently my dry cheeks without choking my t-zone. After a few weeks of use, I definitely seen a improvement regarding the sebum regulation on my t-zone. When I would use it at night, I would wake up and my forehead + nose aren't shiny!! Yay :) It didn't break me out or cause any irritation. Howeover, I wouldn't repurcahse because it takes way too long for my skin to absorb it. I would recommend this for the combination to dry skin people. See swatches below

(source: sephora.com) During my shopping for a day cream, I also wanted a new night cream but one that would be really hydrating/moisturizing. The description got me curious so I gave it a try. The texture is really liquidy, exactly like plain yogurt. There's no apparent scent which is good. Since it's so liquidy, it spread well but you have to apply it and blend in as fast as possible or else it dries up on your skin and you get some white dried up yogurt on your face haha. It absorbs instantly into my skin but I wasn't amazed by the mositurizing abilities. Like stated, it really only moisturizes the upper level of your skin. It didn't left my skin smooth at all, just basic hydration. It didn't break me out at all and I didn't have any reaction to it =) I would recommend this to people with very oily skin. This went back to Sephora a few days later.

Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizer SPF 6

"An extraordinary, 24-hour intensive moisturizer for normal and dry skin, Wild Rose has a rich, yet light texture and a unique blossom scent, plus whitening wild rose oil and an SPF 6 to help prevent brown spots caused by sun damage. What it is formulated WITHOUT: Parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, petro-chemicals, phthalates, GMO , Triclosan." (source: sephora.com)

I exchanged the Yogurt cream for the wild rose one. Compared to the 2 others, this cream is rather thick but spreads easily and absorbs pretty well if applied in small quantity. I used this as a night cream during the rough winter time and it did a good job at keeping my skin hydrated. It claims tiobe brightening, but after finishing the jar, I didn't notice much difference. It did left me oily at first, but it was because I would put too much. I like to warm up a pea size between my fingers and then apply it on the driest area first and then complete the rest. I find that this technique minimized the shine and helped the product get absorbed way faster =) It didn't caused any zits or reaction :D But, I personally think that it's a very basic cream, it didn't left my skin baby smooth when I wake up or do anything else to my skin except keep it moisturized so I wouldn't repurchase. I'm pretty sure I can find better, at lower price. :) I'd recommend thisto people with normal to dry skin.

Comparison between the Wild rose moisturizer & the Pomegranate balancing moisturizer.

All of these cream are packaged in a nice glass jar that can be pretty heavy and not travel friendly. Some people probably won't like the packaging for hygienic reasons. Overall, these cream didn't caused irritation or breakouts and delivered some basic moisturization IMO. The US price range is from 32$ to 35$ and if my memory is correct, the canadian price is between 41$ - 45$. You can find these products in Sephora or on Korres website.

When I was a kid, I couldn't wait for summer vacations because it meant playing outside all day long, riding my bicycle around the neighborhood with my best friends and going on vacation my with parents. I was lucky enough to have a loving family and even though we weren't very rich, we we're still able to go on vacation.

I believe that every children should be able to have a fulfilled summer no matter where they came from.

St. Ives green tea scrub

I loved using it, it smelled wonderful but it would leave my skin tight as I continue using it. Lulu was so kind she sent it to me as a birthday present <3 It was not available in Canada at that time but I saw it in a Jean Coutu in downtown (if anyone is interested) It calmed the redness around my nose and left my skin smooth. I won't repurchase thought because it leaves my skin too tight.

Dolly Wink Liquid liner in deep black

I love this liquid liner! I use it everyday on my upper lash line in and I tightline with Stila's liquid liner. I can't live without both xD Luckily I bought a back-up when I ordered it. However, the owner of the website closed down her online shop for a while (she is based in Japan). The eyeliner offers a super precise line! Love! Definitely would repurchase!

Clean care contact lenses cleaning solution

What can I say more about this? LOL. I already finished up a bottle in a older "empties" post xD I think that it's the best thing around for contact lenses ;)

Kiehls Ultimate Strength hand cream

First, I didn't finished this... My boyfriend did :) I did use it a few times. My bf has the worst skin condition ever, especially on his hands. He has eczema, super sensitive & super dry skin, to the point that his skin cracks when he would fold a little bit his fingers and bleed. I bought him so many hand creams to try, from drugstore to high-ends to medicinal. Nothing ever worked. We were so desperate lol and when I was at Kiehls, I saw this and decided to give it a try. The product's name attracted me lol "ultimate strength".. I was like "ha! really? let's see.." Omg a few days later, I couldn't believe it but his hands were SOFT! No flaky skin, no cracks, no itchiness.. I bought him the biggest size available afterwards LOL. I'll make a more in depth review about this :)

Kiss Me Heroine long & curl mascara

One of my favorite mascara! I used this everyday too xD It holds my curls & separate my lashes wonderfully. No clumps, no racoon eyes. It was a little hard to remove at night and a few lashes came out too so I don't think I'll be rebuying this.. Plus they jacked up the price here (at the place where I buy them, in Chinatown) and I have found a better alternative that doesn't cost me my lashes lol! =P

Now for the collective haul...

After a month of no buying.. This is what happened.. But I'm still happy with these purchase because they weren't really compulsive buys :) For once.. I needed these stuff =P

Dermalogica Clean Start line "Bedtime for breakouts" salicylic acid treatment + Boscia Oil-Free hydrator SPF 15 sample from Sephora. I was having come uncontrolable breakouts so I was searching for a night treatment that would help. Also, I was searching for a day mositurizer that has SPF in it so I asked a sample :)

Kiehls Panthenol Protein moisturizing face cream & Ultimate Strength hand cream + loads of Kiehls samples! My face was utterly dry and the night moisturizer I had didn't help so I reached for this one. It helped a lot because I would wake up with baby soft skin :) Review coming soon! I also bought the big size hand cream for my bf :)

Caudalie cleansing water & Nars blush in Sex Appeal. I started to develop eczema again on my face due to excessive dryness so I didn't want to wash my face twice a day because it was too irritating so I bought the Caudalie cleansing water to use in the AM. I would just swipe my face with a cotton sheet+ the cleasing water on it and tadam! All the dirt & oil that accumulated during that night was gone. No need to rinse. As fore the blush.. well it's my first powder blush LOL. The first one is a cream blush so I only have 2 blushes in my collection now =) I didn't want to splurge on blushes and I wanted to wait for a color that I abolutely love so I guess Nars Sex appeal is the one <3 haha

Glysomed Foot balm, Vichy Aqualia Thermal eye roll-on & Essie good to go drying top coat. I like to pamper my feet after a long day at work standing :) My eyes were pretty much neglected so I needed something for them! I'm not very adventurous for eye treatement so I went for something simple. And everyone needs a fast drying topcoat in their drawers! =P

ultra comfortable mousse with SPF 30" (source: Shuuemera-usa.com)

I bought this because I was looking for a base that have SPF in it. My skin doesn't seem to like sunscreen, I always end up with a red patch on my cheek and I wanted to skip some steps in my routine, especially with summer around. I was so excited when I read the description and I rushed to the Shu Uemera counter in Holt Renfrew.

For reference, I actually have normal to dry skin (winter) but it's starting to return to combo skin (oily t-zone). My pores gets clogged easily and is pretty sensitive depending on the weather. I've tried many primers before and the problem of most of them is that they would irritate my skin or clog my pores. So I didn't used any primer ever since.

(The quantity shown here is way more than enough to cover my full face + neck)

As stated, it 's a VERY light mousse. I like the feel of applying it since it's so airy! It's even lighter than hair mousse! haha =) It's spread easily and absorbs super fast so you don't need to wait that your primer dries or sets before applying foundation. Since it absorbs really quickly, you'll need to speed up to spread it.

The product is lightly tinted, which I like. I noticed that it kind of blurs the redness around my nose and it actually does a pretty good job at evening out my skin. (Please note that I have minor imperfections and I don't need to cover much on my skin) It doesn't accentuates dry skin or flakes and there's a pretty good oil control too. My skin is smooth and my pores are less visible. The best part of it? It has a decent SPF30, doesn't break me out and doesn't irritate my skin! HURRAY!! :D Also note that I use this alone most of the time =)

However, the less fun part is the packaging. The nozzle is so freaking hard to control! Especially at first. Now that I get the hang of it, I can "control" a bit more the amount that comes out but let me tell you that the first time I used it, way too much product came out haha. Also, we cannot see the amount that is left =/

What I like <3 :
- Airy & oh so light texture!
- Doesn't break me out or irritate my skin
- SPF30!!!
- Can be used alone =)

What I don't like :
- Shade selection, only 1 shade avalaible in beige
- Takes a few try and a bit of product wasted in order to master the control of the nozzle hahahah =P
- I can't see what's left!
- Price tag =(

Overall:
Packaging: 4.8/5 I want to see what's left!
Product: 5/5 Love it! Can't ask for more :)
Price: 45$ CAN
Scent: no apparent smell..
Would I repurchase? Probably! If I can't find something better =P

Korres 24h moisture rose cream

I bought this in the beginning of the winter, ready to combat dry skin & prevent my dry, itchy patch from last year to pop up once again. It's a very thick cream, but that spreads & absorbs pretty well. A little goes a long way, if you put too much you might look like a grease ball haha. It has a weird grandma smell that I didn't really enjoyed =/ It claims to be brightening, but I didn't see much difference. It didn't moisturized my skin as much as I would like it to so I wouldn't repurchase.

Clinique Moisture surge gel/cream

This has been in my drawer for about a year and a half now and there were like 1/4 of product left so I decided to finish it up. I remember that I stopped using this cream because it gave me some bumps on my jawline. This time, I used it as a sleeping mask because of it's consistency that really looks like Laneige's sleeping pack. I would leave my skin smooth, but not as much as the Korean brand one. It leaves a kind of plastic film on my face which I hate! But the skin absorbs it away. Wouldn't repurchase though.

Glysomed handcream

Best drugstore hand cream that I ever used! It's very greasy and contains loads of silicone so I would use it only before going to bed. The next morning, my hand would be super soft! Also, I have mild eczema on my hands and it doesn't irritate them. Hurray :)

Laneige water sleeping pack

This is the old version that I bought in a blogsale. It leaves my skin super smooth, soft & plump the next morning. Enough said LOL! You can read my review here

Nivea Smooth Replenishing Lotion

This body lotion is my favorite right now! It's not sticky, absorbs well & leaves your skin super smooth. I have super dry legs and elbows and it actually moisturizes super well without the greasiness. My new HG <3 Even my mom and dad fell in love with it LOL!

Now for February's collective haul! If you read my blog, you'll probably know that I was on a beauty product ban until the 17th. I was able to achieve it and didn't go on a shopping craze afterwards LOL! So here what I got:

Comparison between Dolly Wink liquid liner and Stila Waterproof stay all day liquid liner

Hi everyone!

Here's the long awaited post on Stila's waterproof stay all day liquid line & Dolly Wink liquid liner comparison!!! I'm currently spending all my free time studying which explains my lack of post. Sorry! In this post, I'll be reviewing both liquid liners and make a comparison between them.

I bought this on Apopofkawaii.com, for approx 18-19$US. I also bought a back-up of it since it has pretty good reviews on it. It's my second time buying from this website, that is runned by Nic from Bang bang she shoots. I really like their services and it doesn't take too long before your package meets your front step (depending on the mailing option that you choose of course!)

As you may all know, I am head over heels with my Stila waterproof stay all day liquid liner, that I discovered a few months ago. I already went through a pencil and it was included in one of my "finished products of the month" post. It took me 3 full months so finish it to the last drop (using it everyday 7/7).

When I went to Sephora to get another one, they were out of stock so I had to wait a while before getting another one. In alternative, I was using my pencil liner & gel liner but I didn't liked it as much as the liquid one. Since it was pretty expensive too, I decide to try a cheaper alternative. Dolly Wink liquid liner in deep black.

Here's a comparison between both liners. They are approximately the same width. I tried to find how much the Dolly Wink weight but couldn't find it anywhere! As you can see, the tips are very fine. I find that the Dolly Wink is a little bit finer and more precise. They both glide super smoothly and are easy to work with. Great for noobies! =P However, the plastic packaging of Dolly Wink feels cheaper than the other one,

A closer look to the tips. As you can see, they both have different texture. The Stila (bottom) is a fine felt tip liner and the Dolly Wink one is more like a "brush" type. In my opinion, the Dolly Wink one is "perfect straight line" friendly compared to Stila's one, which you have to be more "concentrate" and careful in order to achieve a perfect line.

Onto the swatch! As you can see, the DW creates a thinner line but is way less pigmented than the Stila. Here I have a swipe of each. DW dries up very fast too. A split second after applying it and it dries, so if you make a mistake you will need a bit of makeup remover to erase the error! In comparison, Stila takes a bit more time to dry but it's still dries up pretty fast BUT giving you the time to fix any error.

The staying power is very good for both of them. They are definitely waterproof and long lasting! However, sometimes the DW one can chip a bit in the inner corner of my eye but the rest still remains intact! I tried them for tightlining my upper lash line too and it didn't irritate my eyes. Removal ISN'T a pain compared to waterproof pencil liner! They remove easily without giving you that racoon eyes look :)

Which one I prefer? I like both and will repurchase both! These eyeliner are the only one that I use right know. I wear them everyday (to work, shcool, shopping, go out......) I'm very minimalistic with my makeup now. I use Dolly Wink on my lash line, curl my lashes & apply Kiss me Heroine mascara, tighline with Stila and voila! I don't bother wearing eyeshadows anymore hahaha.

***MINI ANNOUCEMENT*** It's been exactly a month that I didn't bought any beauty related stuff (okay except the mini haul which included a nail polish and Revlon lippie, but I rarely buy nail polish..) So let's say I've only bought a drugstore lippie in my no buy month LOL! I'm still proud of me =P Now I'm running low on my skincare products so expect a haul soon hahahha =P I'M SO HAPPY YAY!

I have also met with Caudalie brand CEO/founder in Ogilvy in Downtown yesterday! I was passing by accidently and they just stopped me and asked me if I was interested in a skin diagnosis and stuff and I said why not? The founders are actually college sweethearts (aw how sweet) and they came all the way from France. I was pretty surprised that THEY took the time to fly around the world to explain their products to customers (you know that most of high end brands have usually some rep for their line and stuff..) To me, in means that they really value their customer and would like to know them more! Their french accent was amazing haha and they are really friendly people. They really took the time to explain how their products works, describe every ingredient they use and how they extract it & the benefits. These are people that knows their products and that wants to offer the best to their customer. I like! Unfortunately, I couldn't get anything because I left my credit card at home (so I don't go buying) but they really convince me to trying their products (the CEO even told me that he felt bad that they didn't had any sample for me to try... I mean you don't find these people anymore!) (Caudalie is available at Sephora and some departement stores)

Happy (belated) Lunar New Year! How are you guys? I hope school/work isn't too overwhelming (and that it didn't snowed too much for all my readers in Canada/US =P)

So I'll make a quick post, like every month, on the products that I managed to finish last month.

Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub

I've been getting some unwanted pimples here and there the last month and I can say that it helped at improving my skin (note that it was only small pimples, not the huge cystic one). It has beads inside that gently exfoliates my skin too and there's a tingly sensation that I like. I used it in the pm and it didn't dried out my skin. This is a sample size that I received a while back from my Hawaii friend Mai (Hi Mai & thank you!) ;D.

Clear Care (solution for lens care)

I finished a few bottles before this one, but I thought it might be fun to include in my monthly finished products XD I love this lens care solution because it's different from the other one! You don't need to rub your lens & rinse it & rub it again. It comes with a special lens case and what you do is pop your lens off your eyes, put it in the case and pour some solution in the container. You put your case in the little container and voila. See the magic! There a special metal at the end of the case and when it comes in contact with the solution (some type of peroxyde) it forms some tiny bubbles that will rub on your lenses to clean them. However, since it's peroxyde, you have to wait at least 6 hours before putting your lenses back because the peroxyde turns into a saline solution, or else your eyes will freaking burn.

Boots no.7 Cleanse & Clear Eye-Makeup remover

This is a pretty good eye-makeup remover and I really liked it. It removes my waterproof liner & mascara with ease without leaving me with panda eyes. It does leave a slight greasy residue, but since I always wash my face with a cleanser afterward, it doesn't bother me. What I didn't like was the pump dispenser. After reaching a certain amount of products, it would dispense the product anymore so I had to twist off the cap to pour the product out.

Opal moisturizing shower foam

I like this shower gel, but I don't love it. I think it's a ok product and there's nothing to complain about. I like the scent of it, it's not too overpowering and it foams well too! I think that you can even use it in a bubble bath since it bubbles up really well XD It's a very gentle shower gel and doesn't irritated ot dried my skin out.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Soothing Protective Skincare (normal to combination intolerant skin)

This is my life saver! There was a time when I had a eczema patch on my cheek and it was so dry and itchy! I couldn't use any cream other than this one because it would be too irritating! I use this as a night cream after my skin was better and I didn't have any problems with my skin anymore. It moisturizes pretty well. However, I repurchased it in a lighter formula because it left my t-zone very greasy. This would be good for drier skin type people.

Finally I had to throw out my Bobbi Brown gel liner :(

It had been more than 2 years that I had this stuff lol!! If you browse in my archives, you can retrace a review on it when I started my blog in 2009. I still had about 1/2 pot left and I really didn't want to throw it out because it's the first "high-end" eyeliner that I ever bought XD Not to mention that I really loved it. But for hygienic purpose, I had to toss it away. It started to irritate my eyes so it was a no no for me. And it dried out. LOL

Now I have to study, I have a test tomorrow!
Oh and I received the Dolly Wink Liquid liner so stay tuned for the comparison! ;D
++ My makeup/cosmetics/skincare ban is ending in approx. 1 week =P I hope I'll be able to reach it! I'm so tempted to buy stuff but I'm trying hard LOL!!

PIC HEAVY Massive Clothing haul + love package + new haircut + mini tiny haul! =P

Hi Everyone!!
Here I am with the massive clothing haul I promised you guys!! It's a collective haul from all the clothing I bought in the month of January. It's been such a long time I didn't bought clothes and I guess it was time to revamp my closet! I did some major cleaning and I had some clothes that I was wearing in like high school o_O I ended up donating most of my clothing because it didn't fit anymore or it was outdated LOL (I had shirts from when I was 14!) Pictures are worth a thousand words so here they are! :)

Pink ruffle top from Dynamite & tank tops from Garage

T-shirts from Limite. Initially, I only bought the pink & purple. I liked them so much I bought it in the other colors except the yellow one LOL! Their V neck is not too low & the sleeves adds a bit of "chicness" in it so it's not too casual :) Super comfy too!

Tops from American Eagle. I finally returned the cardigan because the fabric felt kind of cheap.. for the price I paid. (Scroll down to see the back of the t-shirt)

Lace top from FOREVER21. I love lace details clothing lately and I knew I had to get this! :D

Black blazer with Zebra print inside from Chado. I've been hunting for a boyfriend blazer lately and all the XS sized blazer I tried were way too big on me. This is the only one that fitted me xD

American Eagle Jeggings. My new discovery! These are the most comfortable pants I've ever tried! I bought several Jeggings from Forever21 before these one and loved them (I only wear those atm haha) but AE's jeggings are more comfortable. The blue jean jegging is in size 0 and the black one is a size 00. I think that the size 00 fits me better because it stretches out. The size 0 still fits, but not as good as the 00 one. It also gives a nice shape to my bum bum LOL!

(I know I'm not fat, but don't worry! I'm not anorexic either.. Just petite :D)

I bought these boots at Sirens, they had a promo going on (buy one pair, get the other pair at 10$) hehehe. I wanted some boots knee-high boots for spring but most of them don't fit because I have small calves. It would leave like a huge space around it and I hate it. These aren't exactly thigh, but not too loose either around my calves.

This is the other pair I got, I don't have knee-high (okay these are more mid-calf?!) high heels boots so I decided to get these :D

Not long ago, Lulu was the winner of my blog anniversary giveaway! We were able to get to know each other a little bit more and since the giveaway ended on my birthday, she sent me a birthday gift ^_^ Thank you so much Lulu! =D I wanted to try St-Ives green tea line for ages! Unfortunately it's not available in Canada :( One word for this line : LOVE!

A little bit of camwhoring ;D

It's been a while since I didn't have a haircut and & want to grow my hair for summer. I want super long hair! hehe. I have fine hair but A LOT! So I needed it to be thinned out a little bit and I decided to go for bangs. I was hesitant at first because I always had a bad experience (the hairstylist would always fail at cutting my bangs = traumatized LOL) but I decided to do it anyways. I showed him a picture of what I wanted exactly.

I brought Catherine Zeta-Jones picture. I wanted the same style of bangs. It turned out to be a success! However, I wanted my bangs to be a little bit shorter so I decided to trim them a little bit by myself........

And I freaking ruined them :( GAAAAHH!! I have to wait know in order to have the side swept bangs =.='' Oh btw, I'm wearing the Revlon Colorburst new shade in Pink Sugar :) More details below!

I know, I know, I told you guys I was going on a makeup/skincare product ban for a month. I've been able to fight the temptation for a week and 6 days. I won't hide from you guys : I really wanted Dior's polish in Gris Montaigne and after seeing all the swatches, I told myself it would be the first thing I'll buy after my makeup ban LOL. But it's LE and from the Spring collection so I don't know for how long it would still be on the shelf so I didn't take a chance. Also, it's been a while since I saw that Revlon had new shades in their Colorburst lipstick line. I was eyeing Pink Sugar for a while now. I was lemming for Chanel's Rouge Allure too in "Mythic" but it's waay out of my budget right now. I took a closer look at Pink Sugar and it seems that it's kind of similar to the Chanel one... HA! Let me know what you think :) I tried it on and it's very sheer, but buildable. (I had a closer swatch of it on my lips but forgot to upload it :( I'll try to put it in tomorrow!)

Back2School Concert with Jason Chen in Montreal!!

WOOOOTT!! Ladies, ladies!! I'm so excited hahaha!!

If you follow me, you probably know that I attended Jason Chen's concert this past Saturday (Jan.22) with one of my super good friend & her sister & friends. We bought V.I.P tickets online and were part of a few people who arrived first. We we're sitting in the hall, waiting to get in. Someone asked us if everyone had some papers so we can get autographs and I realized I didn't bring anything! (Dumb..)

Then.... I see Jason & Kenneth walking by. I elbowed my friend and I whispered "C'est Jason!!!!!!!!!!" (It's Jason in french) And we just looked at him pass by.... I was so surprised I just stared at him and I guess the others too because no one shouted or said hi hahahaha!!

As VIPs, we had a session of meet and greet with the artists and seriously.. I didn't know the other artist except Donsmoove lol. We had to wait in line to get pictures and autographs and guess where they put Jason? At the end.... Since I didn't have paper, I just took the back of my ticket that I had to print out hahhaa.. So the first one sitting was Donsmoove so I approached and said "Hi! Sorry I just have this piece of paper" He just laughed and said oh its fine..HAHAHA!! I laughed at myself. I got an autograph from Angela Huang (who by the way, did an amazing performance with James!) The music was so beautiful!

There were a few more artists, but we didn't knew them at all so.... me and my friend skipped the line to Jason's table.. I know, I know, it's mean but when you don't know who they are what are you going to tell them??!?!! But now I regret it, I should've take an autograph from everyone because they were ALL amazing performers! Gr..

So there I was waiting to meet Jason and dun dun dun... It was my turn. Guess what? I came, handed him the paper and said in a squeaky voice "hi" ................... and blurted "thank you" when he finished and walked away. SHAMEEE!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! This is what I wanted to say "Hi Jason! Nice meeting you! You're doing an amazing job and I love the covers that you make. I can't wait for your new single to come out." Fail. Fail. Fail. At least my friend didn't went into a shocked trance and asked him if we could take a picture with him hahahahha.

Yeah, me and my friend are dwarfs. LMAO.

We were lucky enough to sit at the 2nd row! WOOT! We saw everything and the show was truly amazing. We discovered so many new artist and talented people from our area! Anyways, I'll show you guys some pictures! I didn't bring my camera so all the pictures were taken by my friend or her sister.

Bonjour mes demoiselles!

So today I'll be reviewing Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster pen. It's like so overdue but it's ok :) Better late than never right? =P

What it claims:
"Professional "lightworks" - in a flash. Just one click and stroke of this lightweight, skin perfector instantly diminishes shadows, fine lines, and imperfections. Skin glows with new radiance. Wear it under or over foundation - or on bare skin. Size: 0.05 oz"

I'm not someone who has deep dark circle, but I still have some dark shadows under my eyes. I don't need a heavy duty concealer (that it sometimes very cakey), but something that is pigmented enough to hide the shadows.

I got it in shade 002 candle light.It's a bit too yellow for my skintone, but it doesn't show that much. It's a very lightweight cream like product and blends effortlessly. It does a good job at brightening my under eyes area and it's pretty pigmented too! However, I don't think that it will cover really dark circles. It doesn't settle into the fine lines and it doesn't accentuates dry skin either! (Yay!) It has the classic Dior perfume to it, but I don't smell it unless I stick my nose to it =P (I don't have a sensitive nose). The perfume doesn't make my eyes tear or anything. It's listed as a concealer on Sephora.com, but I don't think that it should fall in this category but more in illuminating/brightening base. I tend to have some redness around my nose, so I use it on this area too. It doesn't conceal, but it softens the rednesss and I believe that there's light reflecting particles.

I didn't broke out from this and it didn't dried out my skin. I really like how lightweight it is and how it's so blendable. I pat on my under eyes area with my ring finger to blend it out. It's fast, easy and mess free!

What I like <3 :
- Easy to use, just twist the bottom, pat & blend!
- Nice packaging, comes with a velvet pouch
- Lightweight

What I don't like :
- Shade selection
- Can't really control the amount to twist out
- Not fragrance free

Overall:
Packaging: 4.5/5 I want to see what's left!
Product: 5/5 Offers enough coverage for me :)
Price: 36$USD Can't remember in CAD =S
Scent: 4.5/5 Classic Dior perfume, but not necessary

La Roche Posay Toleriane Soothing Protective Skincare cream for Normal to combination intolerant skin. It soothes my skin when it's very sensitive & when I have a reaction. It's also very hydrating and gives my skin the extra moisture I need :D

6-What is your favorite personal care product?
Glysomed handcream! It's cheap and it's the only cream that doesn't exacerbates my eczema :)

7-Your usually worn fragrance in 2010?
I'm not a fragrance wearer until not long ago. :)

My DSK Necklace! I've been wearing it almost everyday lol =P

I will be starting (again) a COMPLETE NO-BUY of makeup product for a month (Jan.17 to Feb.17) I have everything that I need (& more) so I have no reasons to buy more products haha. (We always say that but we all know it's freaking hard!!)

As you can see I only got the essentials lol. Clean & Clear gentle remover and Biore's pore unclogging scrub + the latest issue of Glamour.

I've been doing some clothe shopping lately so I'll post up a clothe haul! I got some shoes too today at a super price!! (Sirens are having a promotion. If you buy one pair, the other one will cost you 10$)

I will be having my school schedule tomorrow I'm so excited!! I also have a day off so I'll be spending the day with the bf <3

PIC HEAVY First haul of 2011 + Japanese hair bun accessory + FOTD

Wassup.
Remember my 2011 resolutions about beauty products......? Hehe :) It's sad to say that.... I already failed. LOL!
Well... some items that I purchased are replacements for the ones that I finished, so I guess it's ok? *rolleyes*
Anyways, I know that I will be using these products so who gives a damn! =P

Now onto the haul! Please note that I didn't bought all these at the same time haha.

Quick-dry hair towel. Here's the thing: I don't and hate to blow dry my hair. I try to stay away as much a possible from the blow dryer because it makes my hair really static in winter, make my hair frizzy and they feel dry afterwards. So everytime I wash my head, I dry them up as much as I can with my towel. When I saw this at Winners (9.99$CAD) I had to grab it and it really works! It cuts off the time my hair takes to air dry because it's very absorbent! :)

Ralph eau de toilette for woman by Ralph Lauren. This is the first perfume I ever bought! I'm not someone who likes perfume very much, but I have found the one and it's this one! I smells so good, yet very delicate. I use it everyday since I bought it and it doesn't cause me to sneeze! My bf likes it too so it's a plus haha <3 I'm very picky about scent so I'm glad that I have finally found MY perfume :) Plus, it came in a gift set on sale at 46$CAD (only the big bottle of perfume cost 99$). My bff works in a drugstore so she kept in on hold for me yay haha. <3

Sephora haul!!!! Oh yeaa =P My main reason for going to Sephora was to get UD's 27/7 pencil liner (they have a travel size set of this + mascara) because I needed a liner replacement since I ran out of my Stila stay all day waterproof liquid liner. But guess what? They had it back in stock woohooo! :D UD liner, see you next time!! Since I have the Stila liner, I don't use pencil liner anymore. I also got Sephora Mineral brush, since I purchased the Dior powder not long ago and love it! I didn't have a decent brush for the powder so I splurged on this one. It's very very soft and fluffy! Feels great on the skin, compared to the Bare mineral brushes (I'll be selling the Bare Minerals brushes soon, let me know if you are interested!) Also, it's been a while since I had over 500pts in my Beauty insider account (hmm.. no comment!) and their past gifts didn't really interested me. Last time I took their Bare Mineral 500 pts gift but I guess they forgot to deduct it from my account haahha so now I have a Philosophy skincare gift set! Since I love their cleanser, I night as well give a try to their creams.

Drugstore haul!! I ran out of my previous eye makeup remover so I had to get another one. I saw pretty good reviews on the Neutrogena hydrating eye-makeup remover lotion on MUA, so I decided to give it a try! So far, it works out pretty well. I'll make a review on this soon =) I also got Covergirl natureluxe SPF15 lipbalm in 225 Marble. I really liked the shade on Taylor Swift in the ad but I came to realization that it was really sheer! =( Boo... But I still like it because it moisturizes my lips decently (no dry flakes!) and has spf 15. It also gives you the shine of a lipgloss without the stickiness! =D

Now I want to show you guys my favorite hair accessory! It's a wire with a kind of sponge around it to create a bun! I believe it's japanese.. I don't know how they call it haha.

You've probably seen them on YT. It's very fast & easy! All you do is tie up a pony tail and roll down the thing! You can see a tutorial here (by BEAUTYQQ) I've never been able to make a proper bun before using this because my hair length is different and I would use way too much bobby pins but now it's simple and fast hehe. Only 1 bobby pin needed and voila! It holds super well too! There are different sizes as you can see. Small wire = small bun, bigger wire = bigger bun. WAHAHA!

It's that time of the month again!! No no no.. Not the woman thing. It's the finished products of the month! =)
I only managed to finish a few things :

The Body Shop White Musk breeze smooth satin body puree

(Sorry I took a old picture because my mom threw out the bottle already lol) I really liked the smell of this product, very light & fresh with a light hint of citrus scent. Very good for summer time, but not moisturizing enough for winter time! For full review : click here :)

Rusk sensories Purify shampoo

(Sorry no pictures! My mom threw it away too before I could snap a shot lol.She asked why did I kept these "lap sap" (garbage)). I finally finished the 1L!!! I didn't liked the scent too much, it was too sweet (candy sweet) for my taste. Also, it seems that it weights down my hair and didn't clean my scalp as I would like it to. I bought it on special for 12,99CAD at Winners. Won't repurchase. I'm using Shiseido Tsubaki Head Spa (Gold bottle) and lovee itt <33

Stila Stay allday waterproof eyeliner

I absolutely loveeeee this liquid liner! I used this every single day since I bought it and it lasted me a good 3 months (and 2 week haha) It's so easy to work with and it's super precise! I was able to achieve the thinnest line ever with no tugging & it didn't irritated my eye when I would tightline with it (I don't tightline like with a pencil, I would just apply it a thin line under my lashes, because they grow weirdly =P). I went to my local Sephora store to buy another one but it wasn't in-stock and the other Sephora is way too far so I ordered Dolly Wink's liquid liner instead to try it out and see if it's as good as this one =)

Revlon Spa Age Defying illuminating concealer in 002

This product worked pretty well for me, it didn't settled in fine lines and covers my minor dark circles. It did a good job at illuminating underneath my eyes too =) It's not as light as Dior's Skinflash radiance booster pen but it's a very good alternative for beauties on a budget!

And now.. Products that went straight to the garbage before being finished =X

Maybelline The Falsies Volume express

Most of you knows that Mascara have a life span and I don't really respect it, until I feel that the mascara makes my eyes itch hahaha (no good). That was before, when I was wearing glasses. Now that I wear contact lenses, I'm way more vigilant because I don't want to get an infected eye x_x. So when I noticed some changes in the texture, I just tossed it out. I really liked this mascara before discovering my current HG (Kiss Me Heroine Long & Curl mascara). It had a very wet formula and it would lift my lashes & giving them some volume. I didn't bought the waterproof formula so it was pretty easy to remove.

Making macarons attempt #3. + lil updates

Hi guys!
If you've been following me on twitter, you must know that I'm trying to make macarons since yesterday! Hahaha I just wanted to make a short post on it + some lil updates.

My attempt #3 to make macarons failed again!! Aaaaaaaaaaah!! They looked nice before entering the stove, but after, it went all flat :( Booooo... My mom was making fun of me and my dad just rolled his eyes when he saw the results LOLLL!! But it's ok, I'll try again another day when I'll be off work :)

I've made some minor changes to my blog, like adding intense debate for the comments & added the bloglovin' button. hehe =) Since I switched to intense debate, the old comments cannot be viewed anymore but just to let you guys know that I read them and here are the response to your comments =P

New Year 2011 resolutions + December collective haul & new work space!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011 everyone! Even though we are January 2nd.. hihi. It's never too late to wish you guys a Happy New Year right? =P I can't believe that 2010 is already over! It was the year where I really got into blogging and I met super nice blogger ladies!! It was also the year where I did some massive hauls *phew* and did a lots of spontaneous buys (not good for the wallet >_<). On the personal side, there were a time when it was really rough at school because I had to make a life changing decision that I didn't necessarily wanted to make (those who followed before know what I'm talking about), but finally I just followed my heart and I want to thank again all the supportive comments & emails I received concerning this issue <33
NOW 2011 IS HERE!! Let's stop looking back and turn our heads to look forward!

My 2011 resolutions are:

Save money. Buy smart. I have to cut down my spending on beauty products (& clothes & handbags) because I have way too many and I'll have to learn to finish a product before buying some more! I'm trying to work out a weekly budget and cut down the usage of my credit card hehe. Plus, I won't be able to work as much as before since I'm starting a new program. Goal for 2011: save minimum 200$ per month. Allow myself to buy 1-3 beauty products per month, no new handbag before spring/summer hahaha!!
Get good grades in my new program. I can't allow myself to fail again. I will have no excuses! Goal for 2011: COTE R DE 30! (haha people from Quebec know what I mean ^_^)
Gain weight! Damn it, it's been like since I'm 17 that I weight the same and I can't find a way to gain a little bit more! I eat a lot, don't get me wrong, but I don't know where it goes o_O?? Maybe I eat too healthy? LOL xD My mom cooks very healthy (I'm lucky =p) so "eating healthy" doesn't exist in my resolution! Goal: pop a vitamin pill each day! ahahha XD (It helped a little last time I tried..)
Stick to my sleeping routine (in other words, listen to my mom when she tells me to go to bed) I'm 20, but my mom still tell me to go sleep when it's pass 11h30pm! And when it's 12am and I'm still not in bed, she scolds me like a little kid that I'll get bad/dull skin & premature wrinkles! Buahaha, except when I study. Love you mom! XD
Learn to cook? My bf always says that my mom is a amazing cook and I should learn from her so I can cook for him hahaa.
Finally tell my parents I changed program? =/ I dread this moment. >_<
Cherish every moment like every year! :D It's important to be happy ^_^
ANNDD..... Blog more! =P My goal will be to blog at least once a week! (I know that's not a lot, comparing to other bloggers, but I'll do my best!)

My previous desk was absolutely huge and took way too much space. My room is tiny and now it feels roomier! lol xD If you follow me on twitter, that was the mega clean-up I was talking about =P

A look into my MU stash. The product that I've putted on my shelf are the one I use and teh rest are tucked underneath in my makeup bags & traincase lol.

DiorSkin Nude Natural Glow Crème-Gel Makeup SPF 20 review

Hello everyoneeee! Merry Christmas :)
I hope that you guys had a great time with your family & loved ones ^_^ It was also boxing day today! What did you guys get? I didn't got the chance to shop since I was working and it's my first boxing day working in a clothing store so it was craaaaazzy! Everyone was exhausted at the end of the shift & happy to go home haha =P

Anyways today I'll be reviewing DiorSkin Nude Natural Glow Crème-Gel Makeup SPF 20 in shade 020, the new foundation that came out not long ago. I bought it with my VIB 20% off coupon (or the 20$ off 40$ purchase.. I don't remember). I'm always in search of my HG foundation so I gave this a try, plus it's a gel-cream! Doesn't it sound interesting? =P

What it claims:
"Diorskin Nude Creme Gel Compact combines a cream gel texture and the satiny perfection of a powder. Its secret? A microscopic network of soft waxes and mineral powders. Upon application, the gel melts into the skin and turns into an invisible powder that instantly and effortlessly glides across the skin for an ultra-natural satin finish. A new technological process allows the texture to retain Active Mineralized Water droplets that are ten times more concentrated in skincare active ingredients*. Skin becomes velvety, radiant and translucent. Day after day, the skin looks more beautiful, even without makeup. Included is a double-sided applicator that makes application easy: the velvet side allows for gentle application and a luminous finish, while the sponge side blends and flawlessly evens the skin tone.

What I think about it? I have mixed feelings! As always, the packaging of Dior products are gorgeous. It comes with a velvet pouch just like the eyeshadows palatte, but I found it a bit bulky. Everything is made out of plastic so don't get fooled ;). When it opens up, you have the mirror, the sponge holder in the middle and the product in the bottom. It's very easy to open and the sponge had 2 sides; one actual "spongy" side and the other a "velvety" side (I forgot to take a picture) . The first side is supposed to be use to blend your foundation in for a evening out your skintone and the other side is supposed to be used for sheerer coverage.

The product itself made me go "whoaaaaaaaaa" the first time I tested it in Sephora but made me go "uuuuhmm...." when I applied it entirely on my face. I must warn you guys, it's very perfumed so beware sensitive noses! It's indeed a very special formula, it didn't felt exactly like a cream when I swatched it, but not as light as a gel either, I guess it's really a combo of both!

It might look very pigmented on my swatch here but let me tell you it's a very different story when you apply it! It does melt in contact of your skin to become a soft powder and turns invisible.. for real. It blends very well into my skin, but to a point of I don't even know which spot has foundation or not! It also gives a sheer coverage and it does a nice job at evening out you skintone. It's not very very buildable, but you still can manage you cover a little more if you start to apply a lot of product, but then, you better get something more pigmented. It's good for someone who has minor imperfections such as redness around the nose and stuff like that, but if you're searching for something that gives a medium to full coverage, skip it. Honestly, I find that it did a very good job on me, since I have almost nothing to cover up, but I still ended up returning it to Sephora for two reasons :

Uno: It emphasizes my dry skin. You know, sometimes you have some tiny dry flakes on your forehead or around your nose that you didn't even noticed.. I don't want to exfoliate each time prior using. I only exfoliate at night and I never know when I will wearing foundation.
Dos: The only way I found to use this product effectively is using a sponge.. Which I hate! I think that using sponge causes too much waste AND I don't like using the actual sponge they give because then when I open my case, I find that is dirty and I will be disgusted. I tried it with my stippling brush & foundation brush but it seems that it doesn't pick up the product >_<"

For the skin benefits side, I can't tell because I used it once or twice only and it's not long enough to test out if it has skin benefits or not. I'm still debating if I should buy it again or not because I really liked the formula but the fact that I can only use it with a sponge (or fingers) annoys me. I think that I'm more a "powder foundation" person, since it's much more easier & faster to use. However, I really like the finish of liquid & cream foundations. Boooo :(

What I like <3 :
- Nice packaging
- The formula (has SPF)
- Nice smell (maybe too much for some people)

What I don't like :
- Emphasizes dry flaky skin
- Can't use brush to apply product =(
- Bulky packaging

Overall:
Packaging: 4/5 Too bulky for me
Quality: 4.2/5 Love the texture but a few downside
Price: 48$USD (54$ CAD i think)
Scent: 4.5/5 Classic Dior floral smell, may be too much for some people
Would I repurchase? Still debating but I don't think so. $$$

Hola Chicaaas!

First of all, I would like to let you guys know that Little Miss Queenie is having a giveaway! In order to enter, you have to make a fan sign so here's my creation ;

Guess what I made it with? ;D I used makeup LOL! I drew the outline with a pencil but I filled in with some eyeshadows & eyeliners haha. I added some bling too =P I'm not pretty artistic but hey, the goal was to be creative! xD If you're wondering, the blue shade is MAC eyeshadow in Suave intention (LE), I used Sephora eyeliner in silver, Annabelle eyeliner in grey and Maybelline's cooling shadow (pencil shadow) in peach. Wish me luck! :D

Now onto the updates! If you read my last post, you must be wondering and excited to know what my bf got me eh? =P No, we aren't engaged or getting married hahaha XD

But he actually got me a netbook! I'm so happy! =D Back in September, I was debating if I should get a smartphone or a laptop, but finally caved into buying a Sony Ericsson Xperia10. So for my birthday, he asked me what I wanted and I had no idea and asked him to buy me some crocs flats (they are fugly but super comfortable for work). He said yes to me but then he told me "I'm going to get you something more useful" (ha! boys..) My bf doesn't like surprises so he told me right away what he would give me.. The thing is he wasn't sure yet because it was supposed to go on sale at Staples on a Saturday morning. Since his friend works there, he said that they only have 20 per store so he would have to go early to line up. I was sure he wasn't going to wake up so early to buy me a netbook but he actually did and I think that the fact he was in line at 7:45am (the store opens at 9am) is priceless. <3

I'M FREAKING HAPPYY! WAHAHA ~

My best friend also got me a totally unexpected gift.

I was eyeing this cosmetic pouch from Guess since it came out but never bought it because I didn't want to fork out **$ for a thing that *I don't really* need. I've been too tempted once but they didn't have it anymore hahaha.

So spacious yay :D Perfect for storing eyeshadows quads & other stuff for traveling!

Finished products of November 2010 + haul :)

Hi everyone!
The holiday season is already here! Have you guys started to shop for Christmas gifts? We had a lot of snow for the past few days here in Montreal and it's currently freezing *brrrrrr* Also I'm finally done with school until January 24th ^_^ YAY!

So today I would like to share with you guys my "finished products" of the month of November 2010 :D I didn't finished as much products as last month but it's better than nothing right? =P

First of all, the Lush mask of Magnaminty (a.k.a Masque à la crème de menthe in french)

I really enjoyed using this mask, especially in summer because it has this super cooling effect on my skin! It's a clay like texture and have some big chunks of grounded aduki beans and primrose seed to exfoliate your skin. It has this lovely peppermint smell and leaves my skin super soft after washing it out. I wouldn't recommend it for people with sensitive skin because the peppermint effect is very powerful. Great for oily skin people!

Lush Ocean Salt

OMG!! If you have cuts on your body, I swear this burns like hell because of the salt! The first time I used it, I didn't know that I had some minor cuts on my hands and it burned like ahmagawsh. So be careful! I found this to me too rough for my skin, but it does well the job! I tried to use it on my face like some other bloggers did but it was too sensitive for it so I used it only on my body. It leaves my skin super smooth but I wouldn't repurchase because I find way too much and not enough moisturizing.

Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cream

One of my HG. but out of my budget right now. It's the second moisturizer that I finished of my life LOL! The jar lasted me about 5 months, using it on and off. I really liked the smell & the airy texture of it. For a full review click here. ^_^

Aveeno Eczema care

This is 3rd tube of it. I have eczema problems on my legs since I was young and this has been the only product that was able to calm down the itchiness and leave my skin fully hydrated. My eczema seems like going away and I'm super satisfied by this product. I would keep purchasing this but it's becoming harder and harder to find! >_<

Bliss Lemon+Sage body butter

Finally I managed to finish this lol!! It's been over a year I have this product! I like to use it in winter, on my elbow and as a hand cream at night. It softens the roughest parts of my skin and leaves them very soft :D The only thing that I didn't like was the scent. It wasn't sticky at all my hands would be left a bit greasy afterwards but it absorbs well within minutes. I liked it, but not enough to repurchase. I will try the Korres ones instead! :)

Now onto the haul!! As you may know, I have been on a really low buy for the past few months and I wish to keep it that way. I'm trying to buy only *what I really need*. *Aheum*

Nicola of Bang bang she shoots and owner of apopofkawaii.com was having a special sale on Lunasol eyeshadow palettes a few weeks ago. I was eyeing the Dazzling night palette for a while and when I saw it was on sale, I snatched it right away, along with a few things :)

I was so excited when I saw the package!! She told me that it would arrive in 5 - 7 days by EMS, and thinking I came from the other end of the world, I thought it would take about 6 to 7 days before the mailman would come but it actually took only 3 days, after the shipping confirmation was sent! ^_____^

The items were nicely packed with bubble warp :D Can you see Hello Kitty? ^_~

Tadaa! I added the Canmake melty nudy lipstick in baby pink & Canmake highlighter. Nic added some Helly Kitty blotting paper!! SO cuteee! Thank you Nicola! :D

I also bought Dior's 2010 holiday collection brush kit at Shopper Drug Mart + Nicole bye O.P.I xmas nail polish ^_^

I love the brush kit! It's perfect for traveling and everyday use. The bristle are very soft! I'll be throwing the nail polish kit in my giveaway too! =P If you haven't entered yet, hurry up! :D It ends on December 19th.

Sephora VIB + L'Oreal warehouse sale haul & random stuff~

First of all, I want to thank all of you guys who left me a message & sent positive thoughts concerning the last post. *HUGS* It means a lot to me!

Now I would like to share my really late post. I received my VIB 20% off coupon like 2 weeks ago I OF COURSEE I WENT TO SEPHORAA!! But I didn't went mad. =P I reeeeaaaalllyy restrained myself and only got what I really needed. The only thing that I'm dying for right now it's UD's Naked palette. Do you guys know when they are going to be in-stock again on Sephora? >_<" I wish they will restock before Christmas! I also went to l'Oreal warehouse sale. There were Maybelline, Biotherm, Garnier, Lancome & etc. It was crazy as usual and people went crazy with perfumee! They were selling those boxes of perfume like crazy! But I'm not someone that wears perfume a lot so I didn't get any. There were so much things but I only bought 2 things for me and 3 box of hair dye for my mom xD

I hitted pan on my Skyn Iceland Pure cloud cream and I wanted to get something less expensive because I realized that 70$CAN for a basic moisturizing cream is expensive (I'm trying to buy smart now ^_^), even though I really liked it. For Dior's new gel-cream foundation, I just couldn't resist! I was testing it in store and I was just like OK I MUST GET IT LOL, but I think I may return it. We'll see, I didn't tried it yet, but I can't stop staring at it!! =P

My main purpose for the l'Oreal sale was to get my mom some hair dye. I was looking at eveything and was just bleh about it, until I saw Lancome Blanc Expert spot eraser. I wanted to try this product for the longest time now, but never had the guts to fork out 130$CAN for a 30mL tube. THEY WERE ON SALE FOR 52$CAN!! I grabbed 2 right away hahaha. My neck is way darker than my face so I'm using it as a night cream for my neck. My neck looks slightly paler now after a few use. :) I'll keep you guys updated!

A few weeks ago, I filled out a questionnaire about my skin on Mario Badescu website and they sent me some samples! You can click here to fill it if you are interested in receiving them (I'm not getting paid or any credit from this link).

I was pretty suprised by the amount of sample they gave out! So generous! They even included some little advice inside :)

Random (emo?) thoughts :) NOT BEAUTY RELATED!

Have you ever felt like you're loosing control on your life, walked a path that you thought would be THE ONE, but suddenly bumped into a wall? And then you're just standing in front of this wall wondering why, try to pierce it through but in vain, you know you'll never see the light. You're hesitant to make a u-turn, but as you walk back, you can't stop looking at the wall and wonder "what the fuck happend? why did I fucked up?"

I did. And still am. If you didn't notice, the previous paragraph was a metaphor of how I felt and still feeling right now. If you read my blog, you might know that I ditched nursing and made a 360. Nursing was what I wanted, I was passionate about it but shit happens. You might like the program but the program might not like you. And it hurts to know that you will not be able to pursue what you like because you can't reach the standards that the school impose, or should I say "the program".

I've always been a model student, straight A's everywhere and everyone always thought I would have a brilliant future. So did I. Once I entered College, it was a whole new world. I wasn't able to get awesome grades anymore despite my hard work and my confidence took a toll. In my philosophy, when you're passionate about something, you should be one of the best or *at least* succeed in this area. When I saw that I wasn't able to, I kept pushing myself, saying that one day I'll make it, one day my effort will pay. Halas, where am I now? I'm changing program. It makes me sad to have to switch program because I wasn't failing my courses, I just didn't reach the expectations of my teachers in the clinicals. Ugh, it pisses me off. Real bad.

Everyone around me were so shocked when they knew I wasn't continuing in nursing. The funny thing is that almost everyone (friends + cousins + brother) knows that, expect for my parents. I don't have the damn guts to tell them because they are the only people in the whole wide world that I don't want to deceive. They have such high expectations from me that it makes me a *meow*. When I told my mom I would take one more semester to complete my program, she exploded with a whole load of crap. On a side note, I have VERY traditional chinese parents. Once you're into something, you're *kind of* not allowed to change. I love them to death but they are so uncomprehensive! My mom thinks that school is easy, she often tells me how she feels for me, how *SHE KNOWS* how hard it is for me, BUT HELL NO! If she went to College or uni, I wouldn't be so pissed *because then SHE WILL KNOW*. My dad went to school for a long time and knows how it feels like to have pressure on, because (even if he doesn't say it) he went through this. When we would be alone in the car, he would just ask me like what happened exactly, what are you planning to do next and would say alright. My mom is pretty the drama starter and I know that they care for me, they want me to have a better future BUT THERE'S A WAY TO TALK. TO SAY THINGS. AND NOT TO SHOUT RANDOM SHITS. It's so annoying sometimes that I just want to bang my head against the wall. Like BOOM, okay everything is fine now, let's move on. But life doesn't work like this.

Anyways, there are times when I feel really alone, even though I have some people to which I talk to because no one really understands my situation and there's nothing to do except wait. I've been accepted in my new program, but still, it's not me. It's not what I wanted to do, initially. Taking care of people was fun, talking with them made me grow and a simple thank you from the ones you cared for is so heart warming. I would literally make my day.But life doesn't always go your way, because she's a bitch. *SIGH*

The best thing? THEY SELL ASIAN COSMETICS!! YEEEEY! They sell a few things from Etude House, The Face Shop, Skinfood, Missha & they also have a few BB creams. They also sell circle lenses LOL!! They also have a store in Chinatown, in the new mini mall. I've also found out that I can finally get my hands on Shu Uemera products! I've been eyeing their products for so long now and when I knew that Holt Renfrew had a Shu Uemera counter, I flew there haha.

It's a very neutral palette with a pop of color, but I find that the colors doesn't look good on me =( Certain colors have been used 2 times and some has not been touched. So I'm selling it for 50$USD shipping included (worth 84$USD). Please write me a email if you're interested =)

I'm super excited to write this post because it's my first "finished product" post ever and I'm really proud of myself too! xD I was inspired by Lulu, I was so amazed at how many products she was able to finish so I kind of challenged myself to do the same :) Let's start! :D

Shiseido The Skincare Extra Gentle Cleansing Foam

I made a review before on this cleanser and I must say that even though I really liked it, it came to a point where it would leave a burnt plastic smell on my hands after I washed my face with it. I think that the chemical in there just reacted with the chemistry of my skin or something like that o_O. Also, I noticed that on the days where
my skin was more sensitive, it would make my dry patch of eczema on my cheek reappear. Eeek! >_<. But overall, I think it's a really good cleanser, but it doesn't remove makeup!

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

I heard raves about this and how it was good on sensitive skin so I gave it a try. I think it's a really basic cleanser, it doesn't remove makeup at all. My face feels clean afterwards and not tight. For some reason, my skin didn't like it and it just exacerbated my eczema in my cheeks! I didn't thought that this was the culprit, because it is known for being very gentle and stuff. When I went to the clinic, the doctor told my that I should stop using it for a while to see if it was this. I stopped it for a while and my eczema calmed down. Do not always trust the labels >_<" I didn't wanted to waste the product so I used it as a shower gel. LOL. Not the best shower gel =P

Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in 0L

This was the first "High end" makeup that I ever bought! I was so desperate for a smudge proof eyeliner at that time haha. I was so happy when I found it and didn't stopped using it until I found better & cheaper (poor little thing! look at the picture! He's been abused haha!!). Comparing to what I have now, yes it's really waterproof but not pigmented enough for me. Maybe I would repurchase someday, when it will be on special =P

Neutrogena's Oil-free Eye Makeup Remover

I didn't want to spend a fortune on a eye makeup remover so I decided to pick this one. It's actually not bad, but not as efficient as Lancome's Bi-Facil or Boot's #7 cleanse & clear double eye-makeup remover (what I'm using right now). It removes non-waterproof makeup very easily but when it comes to waterproof/long-lasting makeup.. Uh oh! Since I use 99% of the time waterproof/long-lasting product, I had to use more products. It melts your eyeliner but leaves me with racoons eyes so I had to repass underneath to get rid of all product. Plus, it leaves somegreasy residue but I wasn't really bothered by this because I always cleanse my face with cleanser afterwards.

Sephora Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner in 01 black

I love love love this eyeliner! Especially for tight lining! It holds on well and doesn't give me racoon eyes! It's a little more pigmented than the MUFE one but can definitely compare to it, in my opinion. The only downside is that you can't really see when you'll run out of product.

Dior's brow styler

I really liked the product itself but not the price. You get so little for the price! I use it everyday and it lasted probably max a month. Not more. And it's not I was filling my brows like crazy! It was very pigmented and there's only 1 shade that is universal. It was a little lighter than brows but it seemed very natural. Very chic package but like it's Dior, expect to pay a fortune for it. If it lasted me longer, I would complain but heck! I'd rather spend this money on other products lol.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-step facial cleanser

This is my new HG!! I initially bought the travel size because I didn't know if it would work for me or not and because of my current skin condition and weather change, I'm very hesitant to try something new. I'm amazed by this product, like really. It cleanses really well my skin and leaves it baby butt soft!! It also get rids of makeup too yay :D :D I would definitely say that this is an ALL SKIN TYPE cleanser. I would totally recommend to people who has very dry skin to super oily skin. I bough the bigger bottle!! :D

La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water

I would spray this over my face when it's really irritated or tight or when I'm falling asleep while studying LOL! I won't say it a great product, but it's not bad either. I don't think that I necessarily need this, but it's good to have it in your stash of stuff. I received it as a gift & probably won't buy it because of the price and the fact that it's not a necessity for me lol. It's very refreshing though when you are spending late nights studying =P

I bought this cream like months ago and they recently came out with a new packaging (still in a jar) and lowered the price (yay!) The texture of the product is not really a cream but I would say more like a fluffy-airy/gel-cream texture. Weird huh? It looks very rich but it's actually very light. The way I apply is by patting it on my face, I don't spread it because I found out that it absorbs better this way and there's a slight cool sensation too. It leaves a slight dewyness but it goes away after a few minutes, the time that the product sink into your skin. I used it as a night cream in summer, because I thought it was "too much" for my oily-combo skin in the scorching weather (we had a really really hot summer here) and have been using it as a day cream since the temperature dropped down (dry-combo skin right now). However, I feel like when it's going to get really cold here, I will have to apply a extra moisturizer or serum on my cheeks since they are like the desert of Sahara when it's freezing cold outside. After a few months on use, I can say that my skin loves this product since my eczema on my cheeks didn't pop out again and I didn't broke out =D I would recommend this to people who has combo to oily skin only. Maybe for people who has dry skin too but only in the summer.

What I like <3 :
- Lightweight and not greasy
- Nice citrus scent
- Nice packaging
- I can use it any season :)
- Cooling sensation when I pat it on =D

What I don't like :

- Not a budget friendly product

- Their new packaging looks... not as pretty....

- Might need an extra serum or mositurizer for my cheeks in the Canadian winter

- Not travel friendly, the jar is kind of bulky

For those of you who have a sweet tooth like me, you will be pleased!

Yesterday, I went to a store called "Le point G" to buy some macaroons. I remembered the first time I tried them was in Paris, when I was about 8 or 9 years old xD. When I saw that they sold them here in Montreal, I was super excited! The ones that I had in Paris were super moist and fluffy, hmm I can still taste it even though I was really young!

When I arrived at the store, I was surprised at how small it was lol. I nearly missed it! XD I was greeted by a nice lady and I went straight to see the selections of macaroons they offered. It was so colorful! I bought a box of 20 and told the lady to give me one of each flavor (hahaha i'm such a pig) but heell they are expensive! >_<

They aren't as moist and fluffy as the ones that I ate a long time ago LOL but they we're still amazinngg! Especially the chocolate flavored ones =D I shared some with my bf's family so I didn't tasted all of them, but I will definitely repurchase and appreciate each of them all by myself hihihi. There's also another store that sells macaroons so I might try it next time.

Hello beauties!! I'm finally back into blogging after a long month (that flew by so quickly!). Autumn is already here, it's getting freaking cold >_<" So the month of September was pretty hectic & stressful for me (and probably for a big majority of you guys who are in school) but this month should be more relax :)

I am back, but not with empty hands! :D Let's jump to the review?

I bought this kit a while ago (they have new packaging for the products now, but the same blue "pouch"), when my skin started to act weird again. I had like rough & dry patch of skin on my cheeks and it would turn tomato red when it was irritated. I turned to the last cream I used when I had this last time and it didn't heal nor hydrate enough. I started to search for another cleanser & cream that would be less irritating for my skin. I already owned a product of this company so I decided to try out their skincare product after reading the descriptions and checking out some reviews. Here what it claims :

I will review each product from this kit except the night cream, because I didn't got the chance to use it. You can click on each product name to see the full description + price.

Let's start by the Glacial face wash :)

The face wash comes out as a nice creamy product. It claims to be foamy but I was quit disappointed, I was expecting more foam! It cleans my face well, but it doesn't remove make-up. My face doesn't feel tight nor hydrated. It just cleaned my face by washing the sebum, nothing more. At first, it didn't irritated my skin, but after 2 week, the dry patch of my cheek started to peel so I just stopped using it. I would recommend this product for people who has oily skin. I find it to be a very basic cleanser, nothing more and it's way overpriced for what it does (30$US for 5oz).

What I like <3 about this product:

Nice packaging, pump bottle

Dispense the right amount each time

Travel friendly

What I don't like about this product:

Overpriced for what it does

Irritated my skin

Second, the Artic face mist. (*Note, they reformulated the product and it has a new packaging.)

So this blue mist is supposed to calm down your irritated skin and to soothe it. It has a mix of peppermint and strong alcohol smell to it & it burnt the irritated part of my skin like OMFG@#$@#$!! I thought that maybe it would go away so I patted the product on my face and let it dry. The burning sensation did went away but my skin felt really really dry. The culprit? There's a large amount of alcohol in it. I used it once and never used it again. I'm sorry but I couldn't find anything positive to say about this product lol. Maybe the new formula is better, but this blue mist is just a big miss for me. The packaging is very convenient and travel friendly, but other than that... No comments lol.

The ANTIDOTE Quenching Daily Lotion

This is probably my favorite product out of the whole bunch. It's a very lightweight moisturizer and smells like peppermint! (my favorite smell lol!) Upon application, you get a cooling/tingling sensation that I find great and calming, especially during summer time! It absorbs super fast and it doesn't leave any greasy or oily residue. It did mattify a little bit my face too, plus no irritation! Howeover, I wouldn't recommend it to people who has sensitive skin because you might feel your face burning. That's what happend to my friend. Also, I would recommend it only to people that has oily skin to combo/oily. People with dry skin or combo/dry wouldn't find it moisturizing enough. Now that summer is over, it's back into my drawer because it's not moisturizing enough for me.

It has a nice packaging, it's a pump bottle which is very sanitary. The full size one also have a pump but in a glass bottle.

What I like <3 about this product:

Pump bottle

Travel friendly (the one in this kit)

Nice peppermint smell

Cooling/tingling sensation

Absorbs well

No oily/greasy look/feeling

What I don't like about this product:

Might cause burning sensation for some people

Not hydrating enough for winter

Not suitable for dry skin type

Hello loves,

As all of you can see, it's been a long time since I haven't posted anything. I apologize for that. Since school started, I've been super busy juggling classes, training courses at the hospital, projects, work & family + friends and.. Yoga/Pilates classes. My training courses at the hospital takes the most of my time (thursday & friday from 2:30pm to midnight) it's crazy. Those of you in nursing knows what I'm talking about!

Yes! I'm taking yoga/pilates classes! At first I signed up for this class for a class project but I ended up really liking it! Not only it works on your flexibility but it also relieve your stress out. After the class, my body feels so light and well stretched. It feels good! They teach you some relaxation and breathing techniques, it's amazing. For those of you who are in search of a sport to practice and that, like me, can't stand running more than 5mins, I would recommend it.

Anyways, just passing by to let you guys know I'm still alive lol and making a lil' update on what's going on. I probably come back in October, when everything will be slowing down, or a bit before. I still read blogs tho! :D

FOTD : Natural sunkissed look + Shopping haul!

Hi everyone! It's already September! So today I didn't have class & I decided to go shopping in Downtown with my best friend. We grew up together & we lived only 5 mins apart from each other and she moved a few days ago and now she lives like an hour away! I was a bit sad but hopefully we have technology nowadays! ;)

Let's start by the FOTD! :)

Today was a very very hot and humid day and I felt really minimalistic. I went for a very neutral eyes, sunkissed cheeks (camera washed the colors a bit out) and a little pop on the lips.

What I used:

I applied Mac's Bare Study paint pot all over my lid, I highlighted my brow bone with MAC's e/s in shroom and applied the darker color in NARS's Madrague e/s duo on the outer V and into the crease. I curled my lashes with Shu Uemera lash curler and applied Maybelline's The falsies mascara.

N.Y.C blush stick in Plaza Pink, Tokidoki Inferno Bronzer in Royal Pride, Laneige's sliding pack_ex SPF 25 PA++ in #2.

MAC's Pink Nouveau lipstick and Balmshell in Curse of the purse lipgloss on top.

Now into the HAULIIIIING!

Striped dress from the Urban Outfitters in XS. I loved this dress when I saw it but I wasn't sure if I was going to buy it. Since I'm very petite, a lot of ~~tube dress~~ strapless dress (haha!) is too big for me (around the chest). When I tried it on, it was perfect and I literally jumped of joy! No chance the dress is falling out! LOL ;D

2nd item: Casual dress from Garage. Perfect for school! :)

3rd item: Cardigan from Urban Behaviour. I've been searching for this type of cardigan since foreveeeer!! It's a good piece of clothing for fall!

And finally I present you my new school tote! This Lacoste bag was on sale! Being a bag junkie, I couldn't miss out on this! It's very lightweight and spacious. I love the color, it says bronze on the tag but I find that it's more a olive color. Don't you?

I didn't do a lot of shopping this summer, in fact the only clothes that I bought this summer were 3 pairs of jeans at forever XXI and 2 shirts. Impressive eh? And the last bag that I bought was my Longchamp one and it goes back in April or May! xD I'm proud of myself :D

Laneige Oil-Free sunblock SPF 35 VS. Neutrogena's UltraSheer Water light sunscreen spf 45 (comparison & short review)

Hello ladies (and gents?)!! So today I'll be making a comparison between two sun protector products. I know, you guys must be saying: "What? You should have done this post in summer! Not when the season is nearly over.." Well, let me tell you that sunscreen/sunblock isn't only for summer! You should protect your skin all the time, even in winter! It's not because it's winter that UVA/UVB rays will not damage your skin.

UVA, UVB, suncreen, sunblock etc... What the heck?!? These terms are a bit confusing sometimes so I'll demystify them for you guys before continuing! :)

UVA = Causes more damage than UVB rays because they penetrate more deeply into your skin. It's the rays that ages your skin rapidly and causes wrinkle. It's believed that it's the rays that causes skin cancer
UVB = These are the rays responsible for sunburns & skin reddening.

Sunscreen = Chemical sunblock. The chemical will reflect or absorb the rays, but there's still a bit of rays that will be absorbed into the skin. Protects against UVB and UVA rays.

Sunblock = Physical or inorganic ingredients that acts as a wall between your skin and your environment. It's better to look for Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide as the main ingredients. It only protects against UVB, it doesn't protect against UVA rays.

Okay now that these terms are a little bit clearer, let's move on to the products brief review & comparison.

First product: Laneige's Oil-Free SPF 35 sunblock

Yes! Another Laneige product lol! I bought this in a little beauty shop in Chinatown, here in Montreal! When I found out that they sold Laneige products I rushed there to see their selection of products XD This was an impulsive buy but I'm very happy with it ^_^

The first thing that hit me when I tried it out on the spot is the texture. It has a kind of gel/cream texture and there's a slight cooling sensation (super nice to put on your face on a hot and humid day!) and there's a light fresh "Laneige" scent (if you used water sleeping pack you know what I'm talking about!). It didn't had that classical sunscreen smell. The tube has a nozzle so you won't be afraid to squeeze out too much product :)

At first, it might look heavy but it isn't. It goes on smoothly on my face and didn't "balled up". It says that it's oil-free, but after application it leaves my face very dewy (shiny like) but not greasy (I hate dewy looking face on me because I find that there's a very thin line between dewy and oily =/) & can be slightly tacky right after application. However, it absorbs after a few minutes. I decided to blot to see if there were oil on my face and I was surprised to find nothing on my blotting sheet, not even a trace (see Neutrogena's review down there to see why). I love the cooling/fresh feeling on my face after applying it. While blending it on my hand in order to take a picture, look what I discovered!

See the tiny droplets? I think that's what causes the cooling/refreshing sensation on your skin! It also leaves my skin very soft through the day. BUT, it doesn't mattify my skin nor have any "pore control" effect like it claimed & didn't emphasizes them either or made my skin more oily.

What I like <3 about this product:

Love the scent, not overpowering

Cooling/refreshing sensation

Absorbs into my skin

My skin reacted well

No white cast

What I don't like about this product:

No sebum or pore control as stated

can be slightly tacky after application, depending on the amount you used.

Final ratings!

Packaging: 5/5 Squeeze tube and nozzle end

Product : 4.9/5 Absolutely love it! Lacking on the pore minimizing effect xP
Price: I paid 30$ for 70mL
Scent: 5/5 The classic Laneige smell hehe
Would I repurchase? Yes absolutely! Especially in winter since it's hydrating! :D

Second product: Neutrogena's UltraSheer water-light sunscreen SPF 45

I bought this in the beginning of summer and I got it because so many people raved about it. It was pretty hard to find it in my area and I was able to put my hands on it in a drugstore in Downtown. There were only 2 left so I assumed that I would love it and bought both of them. At first, I was impressed by how liquid and light it was. When I started to apply to my face, it felt it was greasy and my face looked oily, no not dewy, really oily. I decided to wait a bit to let it absorb and it did. I still felt some greasiness on my face so I decided to blot with a blotting paper. Eeeh, what I saw wasn't pleasant. However, after blotting, the product seemed to absorb better and my face was shine free for the rest of the day. I think this product would be more suitable for drier skin types or in winter. Plus, it "balled up" a little bit, maybe because of my moisturizer too.

I don't now if you guys can see the dewy finish on my hand. My hands are the driest part of my body due to washing my hands very often (no I'm not a germ freak, I just got used to it due to my job). There's a slight white cast to it but it isn't a problem for me. I do really think that it's a good sunscreen but it's just not made for me. I have a combo/oily skin in summer so anything that would make me look greasy or oily is a big no no to me. Since my cheeks are drier, it's still ok on that zone but they became very reactive. I became intolerant to a lot of sunscreen product due to eczema on my cheeks that I developed a few weeks ago (now it's gone thank god! The Dr. prescribed me some cream to put locally) and I think that some of the ingredients in sunscreen triggered the reaction (I'm pretty sure it's avobenzone or titanium dioxide when it's one of the main ingredients).

What I like <3 about this product:

Lightweight

Travel friendly package

Can work well on drier skin type

What I don't like about this product:

Made my face look oily/greasy

Packaging: 5/5 Squeeze tube, nozzle end too

Product : 3.5/5 Lightweight and runny but didn't work for me
Price: I bought it on sale for 15$CAD
Scent: Typical sunscreen smell!
Would I repurchase? No, gave it to my mom. Still have a back up tho! Don't know what to do with it =/ If anyone is interested into having it, write me an email :)

So this concludes my sunscreen comparison/review. Obviously, the Laneige one is my favorite and I'll continue to use it.

School started already for me and it was pretty relax. We're having a heat wave right now and there's no ac in the classrooms!! Imagine how unbearable it is! Today it was like 40 degrees outside! >_<" I hope back to school was not too harsh for those of you who are still in school!

FOTD: Wedding day time and night time look.

Hello world! Nop, I'm not doing a back to school FOTD but a wedding day time and night time look! =P It was my boyfriend's sister wedding on saturday and I thought it would be interesting to show you guys what I did! I basically don't really wear any makeup when I go to school. I only tightline my eyes, line a thin line on the upper line ans apply a bit of mascara. Nothing complicated! :)

I will only show you guys the final look because I didn't have time to take the "step by step" pictures. You can also refer to my previous EOTDs for the step by step application because I always use the same technique, except in my night look (which I will explain).

Let's start by the day look! I did a very natural & soft look using by champagne colored eyeshadow all over the lid and purple on the outer corner of my eyes. I tightlined & eyelined (top & bottom) with black liner (purple liner on bottom), applied mascara & Revlon's fake lashes. (I had YSL lipstick in nude but I ate xD)

What I used :

1. Maybelline Plush quad e/s in Green envy (1st champagne shade)
2. Stila Afterhour trio (purple shade)
3. Maybelline Dream mousse blush
4. Lise Watier's illuminating powder
5. Wet n' wild gel liner in black
6. Diorshow brow styler
7. Sephora waterproof automatic pencil liner in black
8.L'oreal chrome eyeliner in purple
9. Maybelline the falsies mascara in black
10. Shu Uemera curler
11. MUFE Duo mat powder foundation in 202 (love this powder!)

For the night, I opted for a dark red lipstick color (found in my mom makeup stash LOL!) and neutral eye color. I used my esprique precious eyeshadow quad. the second color all over my lid and the third color in the outer corner. I blended the darkest color into my lashline and added a line of black eyeliner.(I was wearing circle lenses here)

Laneige 3 in 1 Multi-Cleanser review + drugstore haul!

Hi everyone! So today I'll be reviewing the infamous 3 in 1 multi-cleanser from Laneige. For those of you who doesn't know what Laneige, it's a high end Korean cosmetic brand that it sold a bit everywhere in Asia. They are starting slowly to enter the US & Canadian market.

It's been quiet a while now that I bought this cleanser and I really wanted to try it because of Bubzbeauty. LOL. I saw so many raves and stuff that when I placed my order, I bought 2 of them instead of one because I was so sure I would love it.

Let's start by a little description of the product : "A multi function facial cleanser that removes makeup, cleanses skin and buffs off dead skin cells in a single step. The micro cellulose beads in the cleanser deftly remove all traces of makeup to leave skin thoroughly clean and fresh. Natural ingredients mixed with Vitamin E keep skin healthy with a radiant glow. Can also be used to remove lip and eye makeup. Suitable for all skin types.

- A 3-in-1 cleanser functioning as makeup remover + foam cleanser + super fine scrub.

- Ultra fine particles containing 100µm Micro cellulose beads completely remove the makeup residue.

- AHA mixtures extracted from 5 plants (orange, lemon, bilberry, sugar cane and sugar maple) keep your skin elastic, and ivy extracts and vitamin E agent purifies skin impurities."

It looks promising right? =P The product foams up really well, but don't expect it to be a rich lather. It has a light pink color to it with a nice citrus scent. The beads are really really tiny and it feels very comfortable. It's not harsh, very gentle for everyday use. A light pressure is enough to buff all those dead cells away. It doesn't leave my skin dry or tight. However, I noticed that a daily usage (2x a day) of this product irritated my skin, so I would use this only 1 to 2 times a week. I can't really say that it removes face makeup because I always clean my face with MAC's cleansing oil first (if I have foundation and whatsoever) but it doesn't clean off my eye makeup or even the residues. Also, make sure that it doesn't come in contact with your eyes or else it will burn like crazyyyy lol.

What I like <3 about this product:

Lovely scent

Very fine beads

Foams well

Leaves my skin glowing & brighter

Doesn't dry out after 1 usage

What I don't like about this product:

Doesn't remove eye-makeup + burns the eyes

Can be drying if used daily

7.What is your MAC shade? NC20 (NC25 right now because I got tanned haha)
8.What is your favorite concealer? And can you tell me a little about it? Mac Studio Finish SPF 35. It's the creamiest concealer that I ever tried that doesn't cake or sink into the fine lines. It covers very well my redness and light dark circles. A little goes a long way and it's very buildable & easy to work with. Plus, it has SPF 35 :D But it emphasizes the dry skin around my nose sometimes =/
9. If I visited you in your home country/state and you had to show me around, where would we go/what would we do? If you come to Montreal, I'll show you the Olympic Stadium LOL! Take a walk in the Old port & eat some "beaver tail" (Queue de castor). I'll make you taste some "poutine" too! I'll also take you shopping to our underground mall :D

Lise Watier's Base Miracle Pore minimizing Primer review

Hello ladies! There's only a few weeks left before school starts! Summer is going by too fast >_<" So as all of you guys know, I've been away for a while and promised to post something soon. Here I am! :) But first of all, I want to let you guys know that I updated my blogsale again! Please check it out because I really need to clear all of these products as fast as possible or my drawer will explode >.<"

So it's been a while now that I was searching for a primer that would control my oily t-zone and keep the shine at bay. I'm happy to say that I've finally found it! I've tried Smashbox, MUFE HD, Clinique... Nothing worked until I found Lise Watier's Base Miracle pore minimizing primer!

Lise Watier is a Canadian brand that is also sold in the US (according to their website). They don't offer online shopping yet, but they can be easily found in all Shopper Drug Mart across Canada and certain department stores like The Bay.What it claims: "Innovative makeup base that gives skin a matte and silky finish and reduces the appearance of enlarged pores. For a flawless finish, apply a small amount to area to where skin tends to shine and where enlarged pores are most apparent. Paraben Free."

Ingredients: "Cyclopentasiloxane, Polymethyl silsesquioxane, Dimethicone/Vinyl, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, C3045 Alkyl Dimethicone.

I know, there's A LOT of silicone in this product, but when you apply it on, it doesn't feel "silicone like"... I don't know if you guys know what I mean.. haha. For example, the Smashbox primer. When you apply it, you get that weird noise that sound like you're rubbing on plastic or something and you can feel it sitting on your skin. Not with Lise Watier's primer. I found that it left my skin very smooth and silky like, as it claims. However, I don't apply it to all of my face. Only the area where I tend to get oily and where my pores are visible, like it's indicated (see bold character is description). A little goes a long way! As for the pore minimizing side, I would say that it doesn't really minimize my pores, but diffuses them. You get a kind of blur effect LOL but I'm pretty satisfied (we all know nothing can erase enlarged pores!). It does really mattify my skin and kept shine at bay for at least 8 hours (because I never wore it for more than 8 hours lol. Ok maybe 10.. but still, my face was shine free!) The downside of it would be that it's pretty expensive for 0,85oz (25ml). It retails for 29$, but since I got a friend who works in a drugstore and has discounts, I paid a bit less.

This is more than enough for my t-zone, cheekbones and around my nose

What I don't like

Very small size
Expensive. lol

Hey guys! I know I've been away for a BIG while now and I'm so sorry! My computer crashed lately and I got everything fixed except that all the pictures that I took for my blog are gone :( So I have to retake everything, edit all over again and retype all the text. Sad. It's already august omg!! That means a few weeks away before classes begins! Ugh >_<" But it's also a good thing because I'm becoming a bit exhausted of work. School is way better than work >_<. But no work = no money LOL!

Oh and also I've been going on a low buy lately and I'm quiet satisfied of myself because now I'm on a NO buy. Reorganizing my drawers of makeup made me realize how much stuff I have and question myself if I really use all these and if they are really necessary. I'll be probably putting up another blog sale soon haha. I might sell my Sephora Color Play - 5 in 1 palette so if you're interested write me a email!

Shiseido Perfect rouge glowing matte lipstick in PK224 Sugarbabe review

Holaaaa everyone! How's summer? Okay so today I'll be making a review on Shiseido's Perfect rouge glowing matte lipstick in PK224 Sugarbabe.

What it claims : "An ultra-smooth and moisturizing lipstick that imparts delicate, soft color.What it does: The velvety, matte texture of this rouge envelops lips in a natural, semi-transparent color. The long-lasting formula contains nourishing ingredients to moisturize the lips." (source from Sephora.com)

I bought this for a while now at a Shiseido counter. I instantly fell for this color when I saw this. It reminds me of the tulips haha. It's a very sheer lipstick, and like the name says, it has a mat finish. I've never had a mat lipstick before so I can't compare, but this lippie goes on well but not as smooth as a cream lippie. If you have dry lips, it will emphasize them and have a hard gliding onto your lips. So make sure to have smooth lips prior using this lipstick. However, it doesn't dry out my lips but left them perfectly hydrated. I find this shade very flattering for summer. It gives you a pop of color without being "too cute" or "too dramatic". Plus, it's long lasting!! I'm someone that eats & drink a lot so unless you ALWAYS wipe your mouth and real hard, it should last quiet a bit (it lasted 4-5 hours for me) Moving on to the swatches!
