January - April 2013 empties!

Hiii everyone!

Sorry for the lack of post for the past 2 weeks, I've been trying very hard to put up a post each week but I've been way too busy lately. I decided to take 1 summer class and it's more demanding than I thought, plus I am working a lot too. >_<"

Anyways, I know this post is way overdue and June is approaching so quickly, but I still wanted to share with you guys the empties that I accumulated for the past few months. Let's start!

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution
I didn't know about this gem until the beauty bloggers and youtubers started to rave about this. I always saw it in the drugstores but never paid attention to it. It removes all trace of makeup on my face except for my stubborn waterproof mascara. It didn't irritate my skin or make it feel tight. You don't need to rinse afterwards but I don't feel comfortable not rinsing my face. Would I repurchase? Only if my skin gets very sensitive and can't tolerate the cleansing oil I'm currently using ;) Plus, I don't wear foundation on a daily basis so regular cleanser works for me :)

Clean & Clear soothing eye makeup remover
My HG eye makeup remover! My stubborn Heroine Kiss Me mascara and waterproof eyeliner are gone in a swipe! It doesn't leave any greasy residue and it's very affordable! :D

Chanel Hydramax + Active gel cream (discontinued)
This is probably the most expensive face cream that I ever purchased but it was worth every penny! It made my skin super smooth and moisturized without making my face oily. It made my complexion a lot more glowy and radiant too! Unfortunately, this one has been discontinued and has been replaced by the new Hydra Beauty line. I bought the new one since I liked it so much, but I'm sad to say that I don't get the same result :( I'll give it another try when my skin will be back to normal and review it.

Lancôme Hypnôse waterproof mascara
A new favorite of mine! I bought this at the duty free shop last year and I think it's the second western mascara that can hold my curls and that it isn't a pain to remove! (The first being Cover Girl's lash blast waterproof but it was such a pain to remove!) It would make it to my HG list if the price wasn't so high! I really can't justify spending 32$ for a mascara when I know I'll throw it out after 3 months. Even if I use it everyday. I might stock up at the duty free shop if I ever get the chance :)

Vichy Normaderm Active anti-imperfection concentrate
I discovered this product via Nic's blog! (BangBangShoots) The skin on my forehead is pretty uneven and it's prone to acne. I have occasional small zits here and there but it's very bumpy. This helped a lot at evening the skin and controlling the zits. As I grow older, breakouts on this area are becoming less frequent so I don't think I need a new one.

Nars eyeshadow primer
My HG primer! I love this way more to UD's primer potion, not only for the product itself but also the packaging. This primer feels way less greasy and goes on clear. I was actually very surprised when I looked into the opening and see that I did use all of it! It felt really good to know that I had to throw it out not because the product has gone bad, but because there's nothing left lol. It lasted around 1 year and a half. By experience, the UD just went bad and the product started to separated in the tube, creating a greasy mess. YUCK!  I already purchased a new one ^_^

Makeup Forever Smoky lash
I got this as a deluxe sample and I was so excited to get to try this. However, when I pulled out the wand, the formula was so dry it was impossible to use it. I guess I got bad sample :(

Chanel Inimitable intense mascara
Same thing happened with this one. I was surprised though because in came sealed in a plastic packaging! Booo :(

Dior Hydra Life Youth essential serum
I loved this serum during the coldest months and it did make a difference. You can read my review here. However, my skin has become so dry and irritate lately that I just stopped using every product that has perfume in it. I can't wait for my skin to be normal again to use it!

Clean & Clear soothing eye makeup remover
2nd finished bottle in 4 months ;) <3 p="">

Sorry for the last 2 crappy pic LOL I took them with my iphone :P
Do you have tips and tricks to finish your product? Please share! :D
Have a great week guys!
Love,
-S

La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Mask review

What it claims "An immediate recharge of thermal hydration: +65%* hydration in 1 hour. An intensely soothing long lasting effect: +64%* intense soothing after 4 days, +72%* intense soothing after 8 days. A melting texture: rich in lipids and waxy agents, the texture's melting point is the same as the skin's temperature, as soon as it touches the skin, the texture heats up and melts simultaneously. The texture melts on the skin.
*based on studies conducted by La Roche Posay. You can read about it on their website" (Source: La Roche Posay press kit)

On May 1st 2013, La Roche Posay launched their new Hydraphase Intense Mask. If my memory is good (correct me if I'm wrong), this is probably their first face mask from their line to hit the Canadian market. How exciting!!
